Long-time best mates and long-term podcasters, comedian and broadcaster Wil Anderson and actor and writer Charlie Clausen, are bringing their hilarious and wildly popular podcasts, Tofop and Fofop, along with Anderson’s Wilosophy podcast to LiSTNR.
Anderson and Clausen have collaborated on Tofop (aka Thirty Odd Feet Of Podcast) since 2010 and are now bringing their more than 400-episode library to LiSTNR. On Tofop, the pair discuss popular culture, film, sport, personal stories, and usually intense discussions on a range of hypothetical situations.
The aptly named Fofop (or faux Tofop) sees the pair take Tofop to an alternative universe, interviewing a range of guests over another 400-plus episodes.
Although on production hiatus, Anderson will also bring his podcast Wilosophy, where he asks “smart people stupid questions and tries to find out the meaning of life”, to LiSTNR. Launched in 2014 and also standing the test of time, recent episodes have included guests Josh Szeps,...

Wil Anderson and Jan Fran will front a new ABC quiz show set to air on Wednesdays.
Created by Anderson, Question Everything is set to provide audiences with the tools to understand everything they see, read or sometimes share without reading.
Helping the hosts ‘question everything’ each week will be a revolving panel of up-and-coming comedians with the occasional big name thrown in too.
The series is produced by Cjz, with Jess Cohen Cornelius as the series producer.
Wil Anderson, Polly Connolly, and Nick Murray are executive producing alongside ABC executive producer Rachel Millar and head of entertainment Nick Hayden.
Fran said she couldn’t wait to get started.
“Question Everything is our chance to take a microscope to all the misinformation that we are bombarded with every day to see where it starts and how it spreads,” she said.
“At least, that’s a rumour someone sent to me on WhatsApp.

What’s your favourite Australian film of the last decade?
That’s one of the questions Aacta is putting to the general public over the coming week as voting opens for its new Audience Choice Awards.
In contention for the film award are: Peter Rabbit, Red Dog, The Sapphires, The Great Gatsby, The Water Diviner, The Dressmaker, Lion, Ride Like A Girl and Mad Max: Fury Road.
While many of those nominated correspond to the Academy’s own ‘Best Film’ winners over the past 10 years, there are some notable exclusions – 2016’s Hacksaw Ridge, 2018’s Sweet Country and 2019’s The Nightingale.
The Favourite TV Drama of The Decade category sees each broadcaster score two nods – bar Sbs, who were snubbed. They include 10’s Offspring and Neighbours, ABC’s Mystery Road and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Foxtel’s Top of the Lake and Wentworth, Seven’s Molly and Home and Away,...

Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder's Gruen is back for its 12th season on the ABC from September 9.
The series, which debuted in 2008, will return with Will anderson as host and executive producer. Advertising execs Todd Sampson and Russell Howcroft will also rejoin the panel.
But, according to a company statement, the show will include new panelists from spin doctors and marketing gurus both in Australia and visiting..
This time round the show will focus on the increasingly sophisticated methods advertisers are using to target their intended audience.
"We.re still the show that analyses what most other shows are there to sell: advertising. But we.re also the show that knows you can.t click on a link without surrendering all your personal data to a corporation trying to sell you shampoo," according to a Cjz statement..
"Gruen will run an X-Ray over advertising, spin, branding, positioning and image control, wherever they are found.

If the 3rd annual Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards could be categorised as a David vs Goliath battle between The Rocket and The Great Gatsby, Goliath is the hands-down winner.
Baz Luhrmann.s opulent romantic drama won six awards tonight, for best film, director, adapted screenplay, lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio, supporting actor Joel Edgerton and supporting actress Elizabeth Debicki.
That.s in addition to the six awards in craft categories plus the Aacta award for outstanding achievement in visual effects bestowed on Luhrmann.s film on Tuesday.
Kim Mordaunt's The Rocket, which had 12 nominations versus 14 for Gatsby, had to be content with just one trophy, for Mordaunt.s original screenplay.
The outcome is likely to reignite the debate about the near-impossibility of comparing a lavishly-mounted 3D film financed by Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures, which cost $160 million, with an independently-funded Lao-set film from a first-time director budgeted at about $2 million.

Gruen Planet has moved to reassure its viewers that Y&R Brands boss Russel Howcroft’s move to Ten will not spell an end to his appearing on the ABC show.
After several fans took to Facebook to express their concerns about Howcroft’s job move, Gruen posted a message saying that Howcroft would still be allowed to appear.
Howcroft would not be the first media person working for a rival organisation with a regular ABC gig. Alan Kohler, who writes for News Limited’s Business Spectator is a regular on ABc television.
Along with Leo Burnett’s Todd Sampson, Howcroft has been with the Zapruder’s Other Films-created show since The Gruen Transfer first started pulling back the curtain on the advertising world nearly five years ago. last week, Gruen Transfer was revealed as Australia’s favourite TV show at the Mumbrella Awards. The show is hosted by Wil Anderson.

In the world of promotion, media and marketing bugger-ups, it’s a brave network that hands Gruen Planet and its host such a ‘gimme’.
But that’s what Nine did when, in a scene for its new drama House Husbands, it altered a bus ad for Wil Anderson’s stand up comedy show Wilarious, presumably so as not to promote the ABC talent.
Instead, ‘Ilarious’ the new show by ‘Wil Anders’ got a mention, but Nine got the take down on Gruen last night.

Here’s a chart of Mumbrella’s Saturday morning traffic as Anderson tweeted a link to yesterday’s piece about Paul Henry’s somewhat robust exchange with a union leader on Ten’s Breakfast.
Thus far, traffic has been twice what Mumbrella would expect on a Saturday.

In this guest post, Sarah Ballard and Sean Rintel warn that marketers who rely too heavily on online influence measurement system Klout may be foolish to do so
Klout is increasingly becoming a hot new marketing metric. But basic tests suggest that it offers highly questionable results. We asked: Could undergraduate students really have more Klout than Gruen Transfer panellists Todd Sampson and Russel Howcroft? While The Gruen Transfer’s panelists may be among the top Australians in the business of influence, the Klout online social influence measurement service shows that typical undergraduates appear to have as much online influence as Gruen panelists.

Logie Award organisers have decided not to ban Twitter at this year's event. Guests at the annual Australian television awards ceremony will be free to use the social networking site during the event. However, according to the Herald Sun, they will be asked to switch off their phones as a "courtesy". In 2009, The Chaser's Dominic Knight used Twitter to slam Gretel Killeen's on-stage performance. Comedian Wil Anderson also came under fire the same year after describing Killeen's presenting stint as "hell". Journalist Catherine Deveny was fired after writing inappropriate tweets about 11-year-old conservationist Bindi Irwin at the 2010 Logie (more)...

Organisers of the Adelaide Festival have joined the hordes of people against Melbourne Festival's plan to change dates. Melbourne Festival bosses want to hold their arts event in March instead of the usual October, which will cause clashes with other events in the Australian calendar. Adelaide Festival chief executive Kate Gould told the Herald Sun: "It would be better if they found another slot in the year. There are a number of festivals in that early part of the year in Australia." Organisers of the Melbourne Comedy Festival are especially upset about the date change. Comedians such as Dave Hughes and Wil Anderson said that they don't want the move to overlap with their event and have appealed to Arts Victoria to (more)...

Organisers of this year's Aria Awards have denied that Twitter is banned from the event. Celebrities attending the Australian music awards ceremony were believed to have been told to refrain from posting on the microblogging website during the event, but Aria bosses have insisted quite the opposite. Organisers told the Herald Sun that not only would guests be allowed to use social media during the show, but that they hoped the networking would help create a public buzz around the ARIAs. Earlier this year, guests at the Logie Awards were banned from using Twitter after various controversies in the past. The Chaser's Dominic Knight and comedian Wil Anderson used the website to slam 2009 host Gretel Killeen's (more)...

A number of Australian comedians have started a protest against Melbourne Festival being rescheduled. Stars such as Dave Hughes, Wil Anderson and Charlie Pickering said that they are angry at the event organisers' decision to move the festival from October to February or March, meaning that it will be on during the same period as Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Melbourne Festival has cited the better weather in March as the main reason for rescheduling the event. Arts Victoria has now called a meeting today with representatives of 23 arts events and venues in the city to discuss the idea. Anderson told the Herald Sun: "They don't have the Afl Grand Final the same weekend as the Australian Open. It just doesn't make sense. It might be a good idea for the Melbourne Festival, but it's only going to hurt the Comedy Festival." (more)...

Wil Anderson has revealed that he is looking forward to starting his Australian Man vs Wil tour. The 37-year-old comedian, who is best known as the host of ABC show The Gruen Transfer, said that he will continue to perform at any venue as long as there is "a stage" for him to stand on. When asked why he was heading out into remote parts of Australia such as Sale and Rockhampton as part of his tour, Anderson told the Herald Sun: "Why? Because this is the best part of the deal. "I've spent most of the year working on this show, so now I know exactly what works and it's kind of relaxed and I get to enjoy it more. As long as people are prepared to provide me with a stage, then I think I should make the most of that." Anderson admitted that the vibe at a...

Red Symons is not replacing Adam Hills on Spicks and Specks, contrary to reports. Since Hills announced yesterday that the music quiz show is coming to an end this year, fans have been campaigning to get a star like former Australia's Got Talent judge Red Symons to take over the series. ABC's head of arts and entertainment Amanda Duthie said that Symons, radio show Dave O'Neil and comedian Wil Anderson are not being considered as replacements because the show wouldn't be the same without Hills and his co-stars Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough. She told the Herald Sun: "The success of Spicks and Specks has been very much due to the relationship between Adam, Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough. It's not just a format - they are the show. "They've left very big boots to fill, and we wouldn't (more)...

Since I'm graduating from graduate school soon (that always looks weird to me), we're fast approaching the day I will need to find a real job and I'm thinking I won't like that since right now at the top of my list of "things I want in a real job" is "nap time" and I don't know of any workplaces that allow that. Even when you're a preschool teacher I think you're supposed to stay awake while the little ankle-biters sleep so you can make sure none of them punch each other or steal your wallet or whatever trouble small children are getting up to these days. At that age most of what I did when I was left unsupervised involved ferreting out inappropriate reading materials and climbing things. Good times. Any suggestions other than winning the lottery? Or becoming a trophy wife? Thanks. Here's your Wednesday night TV:
8:00pm: "American Idol" on Fox.
