Sadamasa Arikawa was born on 7 June 1925 in Tokyo, Japan. Sadamasa was a producer, known for Godzilla (1954), The Phoenix (1978) and King Kong vs. Godzilla (1963). Sadamasa died on 22 September 2005 in Izu, Japan.

He is best remembered for being the special effects cinematographer
under Eiji Tsuburaya before becoming a director of special effects
himself.
