Erika Aronson was born Erika Leigh Aronson in 1971 in New York City to E. Letty Aronson (Konigsberg) and Sidney Aronson (1923-2002), and was raised in Manhattan. She was educated at Trinity College and received her J.D. from Columbia Law School.
Aronson worked as a corporate attorney at O'Melveny & Myers, and was Executive Director of the EGL Charitable Foundation. Aronson was the executive producer of the Amazon series Crisis in Six Scenes (2016), as well as a producer on Wonder Wheel (2017) and A Rainy Day in New York (2018). She has also worked as a production assistant on Quick Change (1990), Scenes from a Mall (1991), JFK (1991), and Cape Fear (1991). Aronson also worked as a locations scout on Mighty Aphrodite (1995), Don't Drink the Water (TV version - 1994), and Bullets Over Broadway (1994).
