Peacock has ordered Supernatural Academy, a YA animated fantasy series adaptation of Jaymin Eve’s The Supernatural Academy books. The project was developed and written by Gillian Horvath and hails from executive producer Allen Bohbot and 41 Entertainment.
Supernatural Academy chronicles an otherworldly adventure of sisters marked at birth. One twin sister was raised in the Supernatural world, confident and popular. White Ninja, the animated web series starring The League’s Paul Scheer, is headed to the mobile app Toonstar for its second season.
Based on the original strip created by Scott Bevan and Kent Earle, White Ninja debuted in 2015 as a narrative series on Vine. The series won acclaim for delivering high-quality, bite-size content. Following the demise of Vine, White Ninja found a new home on Toonstar, an app designed to deliver quick bursts of animated entertainment.

Dhx Media, Technicolor, and A Stark Production have greenlit a second season of the animated children's TV series, The Deep. The production has received season two renewal commitments for a new season of 13 half-hour episodes from Netflix in the Us, as well as over-seas partners. Paul Scheer will lend his voice talents to an upcoming animated series created for exclusive release on Vine. The actor has signed on to the web series White Ninja, set to debut on December 5, 2015.
The White Ninja Vine series is based on a web comic by the same title, which released strips on Cracked.com until August 2013 when the comic went on an undefined hiatus. Scheer, known for his work on shows such as FX’s The League and Hulu’s Hotwives of Las Vegas, will voice White Ninja’s titular character, who is described in a release as “intellectually restricted and, apparently, pain impervious.” White Ninja’s voice cast also includes Kathleen Barr (Ed, Edd n’ Eddy), Shannon Chan-Kent (Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony), Brian Drummond (Inspector Gadget, DragonBallZ), and David A. Kaye (Make Way for Noddy, X-Men Evolution).
Six Vine stars have also joined the White Ninja project as directors.
