"I will be with you… always." Vertigo Releasing in the UK has revealed the first official trailer for a thrilling new horror mystery film titled Nocebo, from director Lorcan Finnegan - of the films Without Name and Vivarium (worth a watch) previously. This is premiering at the 2022 Sitges Film Festival next week, and will open in the UK later this year. A fashion designer is suffering from a mysterious, unexplainable illness, until a Filipina caretaker arrives at her home and begins to use the traditional folk remedies from her country. And then a terrible truth is revealed… Uh oh, sounds scary. Eva Green stars with Mark Strong, Billie Gadsdon, Cathy Belton, and Chai Fonacier as the caretaker Diana. This looks creepy!! The end of this trailer is a whole other level of crazy, with some freaky hints in the final few shots at what's to come. Enjoy. ›››

Samuel Goldwyn circa 1950
Intense Trailer for 'Attack on Finland' Action Movie Landing in July
Samuel Goldwyn circa 1950
"We made a deal. You broke it." Samuel Goldwyn has revealed the official US trailer for a Finnish action thriller titled Attack on Finland, which is the international release title. It also goes under Omerta 6/12 or 6/12, which is a reference to December 6 the Finnish Independence Day. A celebration during the holiday in Finland takes a tragic turn when the Presidential Palace is attacked and the president is taken hostage. Soon it is clear that the main target behind the attack is a plan to destabilize the security of Europe. That sounds a lot like Finland's version of Olympus Has Fallen or White House Down. The action film's cast includes Jasper Pääkkönen, Nanna Blondell, Sverrir Gudnason, Cathy Belton, Nika Savolainen, Pertti Sveholm, Juhan Ulfsak, Zijad Gracic, Miodrag Stojanović, and Dragomir Mrsic. This looks hyper-stylized and intense, but it also feels a bit made-for-tv in quality. Still may be an entertaining watch.

Bloody Revenge Flick Savage at the Efm
Savage is a revenge film, the likes of which no one has seen in quite some time. In the film, character Paul Graynor (Darren Healy) is castrated in a back alleyway. Not a great way to start a weekend, but a great way to start a film, as Paul searches to find what masculinity really means. The attack is random and some viewers, lucky enough to see the film, will empathize with the character despite Paul being "an unlikeable chap" (Quiet Earth). Savage is already set for a showing at the European Film Market Wednesday February 17th. Those unable to jump on a jet to see the film in Berlin can have a look at the very gritty, and brutal trailer here.

An in-depth plot summary of Brendan Muldowney's Savage here:

"Finding himself the victim of an attack on the wrong side of the tracks of a crime-ridden city,...
