Recipient of the Dr. Sun-Yat-Sen Scholarship award at Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines while studying for a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, then later transferred and graduated from National University.

Studied at the Neighbourhood Playhouse School of the Theatre (Sanford Meisner Technique) in New York City.

Graduated High School Valedictorian at Dalubhasaang Epifanio Delos Santos High School.

He is an Honorary Member of the Epsilon Sigma Mu Fraternity of the National University Chapter, Manila, Philippines.

Selected to sit on a peer jury for the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. He was carefully selected to assist on a jury as a result of his extraordinary talent and experience in the industry. He was then again invited to participate a second time for the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards due to his careful work as a juror. The selection process is extremely stringent and only those with substantial experience are invited to participate. Jurors are selected by the Academy after consultation with the Governance Committee and Board of Directors.
