Ian is known for editing Ben Is Back (2018), starring Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges, Wild Mountain Thyme (2020), starring Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan, and the award-winning The Half of It (2020). His television credits include the pilot and season finale of Three Women (2023), starring Shailene Woodley, Betty Gilpin and DeWanda Wise.
Following his graduation from Emerson College, Ian built a strong foundation at Sound One, NYC's iconic post production facility, where he thrived under the guidance of distinguished editors Tim Squyres, Dylan Tichenor, Barbara Tulliver and Andrew Mondshein.
As an editor, Ian has collaborated with John Patrick Shanley, Peter Hedges, Alice Wu and Lisa Taddeo, as well as producers Anthony Bregman, Teddy Schwarzman and Nina Jacobson. Artistically versatile, he is driven by a strong sense of story, performance, rhythm and a film's power to start a conversation.
Ian is an active member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild and the Post NY Alliance. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
