Rhonda Bloom is a dynamic entertainment executive, manager and producer. Her boutique literary management company, Plumeria Entertainment, places an emphasis on discovering and breaking new, upcoming talent, as well as re-energizing and identifyng opportunities for experienced writers and directors.
Prior to opening Plumeria, Ms. Bloom was a development executive and producer, with a special focus on television and cable films. Her experience includes tenures as Vice President of Television for Paula Weinstein's Spring Creek Productions, Vice President of Development for Producer's Entertainment Group, The Larry Thompson Organization, Dan Blatt Productions, and director of development for Zanuck-Brown Productions. Producing credits include CBS television films Replacing Dad, Separated by Murder, and Broken Promises, and Showtime telefilm Floating Away,
Ms. Bloom has been a guest panelist and lecturer on numerous occasions, including serving as a master's thesis judge for USC's Peter Stark Motion Picture Producing Program, of which Ms. Bloom is an alumna.
A native of Boston, she received her undergraduate B.A. from Wesleyan University where she majored in film under the tutelage of noted film historian and professor Jeanine Basinger, receiving honors for her senior thesis, "Sisters, Sirens & Spinsters: The Films and Life of Bette Davis." This was soon followed by the very good fortune to meet Ms. Davis, who subsequently read the manuscript and declared, in a letter proudly displayed on Ms. Bloom's wall, ".. I have been most impressed by the huge amount of information there is, most of it correct as to facts. Love the title!"
She resides in Sherman Oaks with her cat Bianca whose zen-like attitude is a daily reminder to chill.
