Janet has enjoyed a multi-faceted career that includes acting, screenwriting, and teaching high school theatre. Happily, she's found that the green room, the classroom and the writer's room have plenty in common, and feels lucky to have spent time in all three. While raising her daughter, she taught theatre full-time. Now the proud mom of a classical violinist, Janet is thrilled to be performing again. She can be seen on upcoming Apple series "American Cheese," the comedy feature "Omi," and currently appears in the Indie "Peeky" and several award-winning shorts. Janet has guest-starred on top shows like "Pretty Little Liars" and shared the screen with Keke Palmer and Laurence Fishburne in the ever-popular "Akeelah and the Bee." Onstage, she premiered the work of leading playwrights on both coasts, and toured the country in her hit solo show "The Ramona Roses," hailed as "exuberant and hilarious" by Variety. A busy voiceover talent, she shared the mic with showbiz legend Carl Reiner and can be heard in animated series, commercials, audiobooks and podcasts. Janet co-wrote the Showtime feature "Bellyfruit," starring a young Michael Peña. She is a graduate of Oberlin College and the Drama Studio in London, and wife of actor Christopher Grove.
