Authorities believe he was murdered because he was involved in a cigarette-smuggling gang with an organized-crime ring and got caught skimming money from them. Because there was no sign of a struggle or of forced entry, police believe Bresciano knew his killers. He was shot 7 times in the head and a total of 10 times in the chest and abdomen area.

In December 1992, the WWF scheduled a retirement show for Dino Bravo at the Montreal Forum but it was cancelled.

The name "Dino Bravo" was taken from a wrestler (real name Pepe DiPasquali) from the late 50s/early 60s, who was nicknamed "The Italian Casanova." Bresciano's future tag partner Dominic DeNucci wrestled with the original Bravo as tag teaming brothers.

In September 1979, Bravo was recognized as the first AWA Canadian champion.

In the mid-1970s he won the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team titles with Tim Woods (aka Mr. Wrestling) and Tiger Conway Jr..

His trainer and mentor was Gino Brito. Debuting in 1970, Bravo and Brito worked as a team, often being billed as Brito's cousin.

Was scheduled to headline a Montreal card in 1986 against Hulk Hogan. The match was canceled with Bravo leaving shortly after.

Returned to the WWF in 1987. He dyed his hair blond and was brought into Johnny Valiant faction, The Dream Team, joining up with Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake. They kicked Beefcake out of the group at WrestleMania III, making them The New Dream Team.

Used "La Marseillaise" (The French National Anthem) by Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle as his Theme music in the WWF.
