- Authorities believe he was murdered because he was involved in a cigarette-smuggling gang with an organized-crime ring and got caught skimming money from them. Because there was no sign of a struggle or of forced entry, police believe Bresciano knew his killers. He was shot 7 times in the head and a total of 10 times in the chest and abdomen area.

- Returned to the WWF in 1987. He dyed his hair blond and was brought into Johnny Valiant faction, The Dream Team, joining up with Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake. They kicked Beefcake out of the group at WrestleMania III, making them The New Dream Team.
