- Has appeared on Broadway on numerous occasions, with 2 Tony nominations to his credit. Plays include: Picnic, Prelude to a Kiss, Richard III, The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel, Ulysses in Nighttown, The Lincoln Mask, and the Pulitzer Prize winning Proof.

- (March 2005) Plays The Judge in "Romance" play by David Mamet (Atlantic Theater Company, New York City, New York, USA).
- (June 2005) Plays Gayev in "The Cherry Orchard" play by Anton Chekhov, adapted by Tom Donaghy (Atlantic Theater Company, New York City, New York, USA).
- (2005, October - November) Reprised his role as the Judge in the David Mamet play/Atlantic Theatre Company production Romance, at the Mark Taper Forum, Los Angeles, California.
- (April 2006) Plays Helge in "Festen" play by David Eldridge based on the Dogme film and play by Thomas Vinterberg, Mogens Rukov and Bo Hr. Hansen (Music Box Theatre, New York City, New York, USA).
- (March 13, 2012 - April 8, 2012) He acted in Reginald Rose's play, "Twelve Angry Men," at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey with James Rebhorn and Jack Klugman in the cast. David Saint was director.
- (September 29 to November 13, 2005) He acted in David Mamet's play, "Romance," in the Atlantic Theater Company production in a West Coast premiere at the Mark Taper Forum Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Neil Pepe was director.
