Britain's Queen Elizabeth's art gallery was on the Ira death list. Files just released have shown the Irish paramilitary group targeted high-profile London attractions in the 70s - including the gallery at the queen's residence Buckingham Palace - in a two-year bombing campaign. The hit list was found in a London flat raided by police in December 1975 which was occupied by the Ira's Balcome Street gang and used as a Republican bomb factory.
