Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, no one in their wildest dreams would have expected Black Adam or Morbius of all comic characters getting their own feature film adaptations. When Dwayne Johnson was first cast as Black Adam in 2007, per SlashFilm, it was initially for the Shazam! film which had already been in development for some time.
Following writing changes, Black Adam and Shazam! were instead devised as two separate films. With many exciting developments for the Dceu coming in Black Adam and the plan to make a Superman vs. Black Adam film (per Variety), there's much to look forward. Exclusive: Scott Free has pre-empted the rights to Tracy Sierra’s debut horror novel The Corner.
The novel is a contained, elevated horror novel set in Massachusetts during a record-breaking snowstorm. The house at the center of it is based on the author’s own colonial-era home with all its additions and subtractions … and its tiny, secret room hidden beside the fireplace.

London -- French giant Studio Canal has sealed a deal for U.K., French and Benelux rights to Jordan Scott's "Cracks" in a multi-territory deal which will see British indie Optimum Releasing roll out the movie out here.
The movie, which is about to wrap up shooting, stars Eva Green, Juno Temple and Sinead Cusack and is a British boarding school-set period drama.
It has also attracted the executive producer skills of Alain Goldman and his production banner Legende Enterprises.
Goldman joins a list of top names on "Cracks" which is produced by Future Films’ Kwesi Dickson, Industry Entertainment’s Rosalie Swedlin, Killer Films’ Christine Vachon and Scott Free’s Julie Payne. Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, John Wells, Michael Costigan, Stephen Margolis and Guy Collins are exec producers.
The picture also secured funding from the Irish Film Board.
