- Enzo G. Castellari was born on July 29, 1938 in Rome, Lazio, Italy. He is a director and actor, known for Light Blast (1985), Warriors of the Wasteland (1983) and The Big Racket (1976). He has been married to Mirella since December 17, 1961. They have two children.

After the film's success, the same producers approached Castellari to direct The Last Shark (1981), a low budget horror movie about a shark attack. The movie did well at the box office (it made $18 million in the U.S.A.), but was successfully sued for plagiarizing Jaws (1975) and subsequently pulled from theaters.
