Director Eric Mathis of Grime House Films and Drake Teer of Teer/Mathis Productions have unleashed the trailer for their upcoming horror movie INfernal, said to be a “thrilling, heavy metal-infused Faustian tale.” The team promises to deliver a “unique blend of horror, metal music, and monstrous mayhem that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.”
Having wrapped production, INfernal is now in its final stages, and the team has launched a finishing funds campaign on Indiegogo. At this time, they are 63% of the way to their goal.
INfernal follows the story of four friends – two of whom are undead and one a pig demon from hell – as they race against time to outsmart the Devil himself after a summoning ritual goes disastrously wrong. In a desperate fight to save their souls, these friends must navigate a nightmarish landscape filled with heavy metal fury and demonic terror in order to find “the metal blade,...

Scalper doesn’t tell a particularly original story but it doesn’t really need to because it is definitely going for a modern take on the eighties slasher. In the movie we discover that everyone around the psychic Clementine Carter (Susan Priver) is being murdered by a masked killer dubbed ‘The Scalper’. She must use her psychic abilities (and occasional help from the police) to work out if this is a copycat killer or the murderer Andrew Lubitz back from the dead.
Scalper goes right for it with its pretty unpleasant and brutal first scene. We watch a man get stabbed from behind, and then repeatedly stabbed in the ass, until he is very close to death, at which point the killer uses the same knife to...

Saint Drogo is the sophomore effort from Monster Makeup Productions, a filmmaking collective headed by co-director/co-writer/actor Michael J. Ahern, co-director/cinematographer/editor Ryan Miller, and co-director/co-writer/actor Brandon Perras-Sanchez. Having found an audience with 2020’s Death Drop Gorgeous between the festival circuit, distribution via Dark Star Pictures, and streaming on Shudder and Tubi, it would have been easy for the creators to cater to the same niche.
But, as boldly proclaimed by Saint Drogo‘s opening moments — in which a mysterious figure shrouded in a white robe looks on as a man spills his intestines onto the sand with a rusty blade — the Monster Makeup team were not interested in repeating themselves. Rather, they pushed themselves to refine their craft and explore new territory while remaining true to their roots: unapologetically queer, raw, do-it-yourself horror.
The film follows partners Caleb (Perras-Sanchez) and Adrian (Ahern) to the coastal town of Provincetown,...

Night Caller opens with visions of a murder underneath the main credits before Clementine an operator for Jade Mei’s gets a call from the man she saw in the visions before he commits the crime for real.
And that murder serves notice to viewers that this isn’t going to be a Scream or Blumhouse style mainstream horror film. There are repeated gory closeups of a large knife entering the victim’s body. A shift of camera angle to some not so explicit shots that suggest the knife is getting shoved somewhere else. And the ranting killer taking the somehow still living woman’s scalp as a souvenir.

Some very upsetting news is circulating today, as it's being reported that Herschell Gordon Lewis, aka The Godfather of Gore, has passed away at the age of 87.
The news of Lewis' passing comes from Something Weird Video (via Bloody Disgusting). While the exact cause of death is unknown, there's no doubt that Lewis will be missed by countless people within the horror community, where he touched many lives with his unfiltered creativity both behind and in front of the camera.
Lewis left his unique imprint on the horror genre as early as the 1960s with films like Blood Feast (1963), Two Thousand Maniacs! (1964), Something Weird, The Gruesome Twosome, and A Taste of Blood.
In 2002, Lewis returned to directing with Blood Feast 2: All U Can Eat, and he recently appeared in Marcel Walz's Blood Feast remake and Joe Castro's Terror Toons 3.

The Summer of Massacre (2011)“Terror Toons” mastermind Joe Castro’s balls-out insane horror anthology “The Summer of Massacre” is one of the weirdest cinematic rides you can experience without first ingesting scores of illegal narcotics. The first segment is clearly the most inventive — the body count in this story alone is through the freaking roof — though each chapter has its own unique set of strong points. However, Castro’s approach to on-screen mayhem takes some getting used to. At first you may think the effects look cheap, but by the end of the feature, you’ll grow to appreciate their decidedly peculiar charms. After all, some of the picture’s brutally creative kills couldn’t possibly work without the help of a little homegrown CGI. “The Summer of Massacre” isn’t for the squeamish, nor is it appropriate for those who proudly wash themselves in waters of political correctness. You know precisely who you are.

Lots of horror films claim to have insane body counts. However, only one claims to have had it verified by Guinness World Records. The Summer of Massacre anthology film boasts eight slashers introduced across five stories throughout the film and a body count that may be the biggest of all time. Wow, that's quite the pile of dead.
Creators of The Summer of Massacre have reported that Guinness World Records has honored them with the distinction of having the largest body count ever in a horror film. We investigated this claim and unfortunately could not verify it with a search of the Guiness World Records website, but that doesn't mean that the red isn't seriously flowing in this film. Check out the trailer below to verify that!

Written and directed by Joe Castro (Terror Toons 1&2, The Jackhammer Massacre), The Summer of Massacre features Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre), Nick Principe (Laid to Rest,...

The Guinness Book of World Records may very well have a new entry when The Summer of Massacre releases Jan. 10th on Blu-ray/DVD. This movie is boasting one of the largest body counts imaginable, and that will be a claim audiences will have to watch with a count ticker to verify.
This release will feature five stories about serial killers and maniacs—eight of them in total—as they wreck or maim their victims in what Breaking Glass Pictures/Vicious Circle Films says will be a gore-fest for the senses.
Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre), Nick Principe (Laid to Rest), and Cleve Hall (Nightmare) are just a few names in this star-studded package. And writer/director Joe Castro (Terror Toons 1 & 2, The Jackhammer Massacre) will introduce most of these tales.
The Blu-Ray/DVD release will come loaded with numerous special features, including: a director’s commentary, a behind the scenes director’s diary,...

The 2nd annual PollyGrind assaults Las Vegas during an epic length film festival that runs Oct. 8-17 at Theatre 7 with enough sleaze and violence to make Sin City residents feel right at home.
Actually, the fest does open up on the 7th with a concert at Neon Venus with local acts like Monster Zero, Creepersin and many more.
However, the film portion of the fest opens on the 8th with Stuart Simpson‘s acclaimed Australian gorefest El Monstro Del Mar!, one of the best Russ Meyer/Roger Corman mash-ups with a Down Under twist. Read the Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film review of this gem here.
Other Bad Lit favorites in the lineup are Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson‘s The Taint, which is still completely grossing out audiences on the festival circuit, and The Uh-Oh Show, the splatter-filled horror comedy by the Godfather of Gore himself Herschell Gordon Lewis.

Residents complain influx of drivers and pedestrians has brought litter, smoking and traffic jams to Los Angeles landmark
To a certain enterprising visitor to Los Angeles, the cluster of narrow winding streets above the Cahuenga Pass are the charming gateway to the city's single most recognisable landmark, the Hollywood sign.
To residents, however, the tourists who drive up those streets, park haphazardly, dump litter, smoke and take pictures at all hours have become the enemy. Locals believe it is time for these invaders to be taught some manners.
Recently, signs have sprung up reading: "Tourists Go Away". Some of the more zealous Angelenos have snapped photographs of illegally parked cars and posted videos on YouTube showing the disruption.
The residents say the number of tourists has become intolerable now that satnav systems can lead people to places where they never drove before. They also blame the internet – specifically a site...
