Graduated at University of Utah with a PhD in Computer Science.
In 1972, he created the first piece of 3D animation, his own left hand. It was so impressive that it was put into the 1976 film Futureworld.
Is known for creating texture mapping, a process in computer animation where you can put life like textures on 3D geometry.
