"Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey" on DVD
Cathy Yan
Sneak Peek more new footage from director Cathy Yan's 2-fisted, R-rated, $85 million budgeted "Birds of Prey" feature, based on the psycho DC Comics character 'Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie, available May 12, 2020 on DVD and Blu-ray:

Notwithstanding actress Robbie's bubbly personality, babydoll beauty and recent Oscar-nominated turn in the anti-Fox News box office loser "Bombshell", "Birds of Prey" was also a box office disappointment, released just before the pandemic, as fanboys seemed to prefer their super females as 'companions' rather than 'competitors' in the brains and brawn department.

New Birds Of Prey Trailer Is Positively Fantabulous
The Birds of Prey are on the loose – and Harley Quinn is certainly reveling in the mayhem.

Building on yesterday’s fantabulous teaser, DC Films has dropped the official trailer for Birds of Prey, a female-fronted spinoff movie from the mind of Cathy Yan and Bumblebee scribe Christina Hodson. Those who attended screenings of It: Chapter Two (another Warner Bros. joint) will no doubt recognize some of the shots in today’s sizzle reel, but this is still a dazzling, neon-drenched promo nonetheless, one which promises color, style, humor, and a whole lotta’ mayhem.

The gist of the plot appears to revolve around Harley Quinn (surprise!), who must forge a super-team alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Huntress and Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s Black Canary in order to safeguard Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) from the Gotham underworld. They’ll have a little help from Detective Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez), too, and...

Here, we get a look at the rest of this cast of characters as Harley carries on the traditions of The Suicide Squad in a stand alone adventure that will be introducing some new heroes and villains into the mix.

DC's Birds of Prey Has the Spirit of Tarantino Says Margot Robbie
Ashley Scott in Birds of Prey (2002)
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)} starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is all set to swoop into a theater near you in February 2020. While out talking about her role as Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, Robbie confirmed that Birds of Prey definitely has the spirit of a Tarantino movie.

Margot Robbie reveals this about her upcoming Birds of Prey movie for DC, where she will reprise her role as Harley Quinn.

"I mean, yes. The [Tarantino] spirit's definitely there."

And this makes sense considering that the working title of Birds of Prey was Fox Force Five, which is a reference to Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. I'll allow Margot Robbie to explain.

"In Pulp Fiction, when Uma and John Travolta are having their $5 milkshake, she's explaining the pilot that she - which I think,...

Birds of Prey Early Reaction Calls Black Mask the Best Dceu Villain Yet
Cathy Yan
In February 2020 we will be hit with director Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress. And today we have word that Star Wars and Trainspotting star Ewan McGregor's take on infamous DC villain Black Mask in the film is not only a great villain but the best in the DC Extended Universe thus far and one of the best villains in a superhero movie ever. Those are some bold statements, I know!

Specifically, SuperBroMovies writer Daniel Richtman tweets this.

"I hear Black Mask in Birds of Prey is "A great, Great villain. The best in the Dceu so far and one of the best villains in a superhero movie ever" so that's good!"

Now while we can't obviously take Richtman's words as gold at this point in time, it's not hard to see...

Chris Messina
Chris Messina has been cast as the villainous Victor Zsasz in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Additionally, Ali Wong and Robert Catrini have been added to the cast. Wong is reportedly playing an associate of Rosie Perez's Renee Montoya character as a member of the Gotham law enforcement. Catrini's role has yet to be revealed at this time, but casting is in full swing as production aims to begin in early 2019.

Ewan McGregor is playing Black Mask, who will be the main villain in Birds of Prey, but Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, another Batman villain, will be working with Black Mask in the movie as well. The character is known to carve his victim tally marks into his own flesh and he's a pretty creepy dude. Zsasz was first introduced in Batman: Shadow of the Bat #1 in June 1992. "We gunna have to do something about that young marshall of yours..." Cinedigm has released the first official trailer for a new western called Hickok, also known as Abilene (which is the name of the town in Kansas that this takes place in). Jack Reacher: Never Go Back TV Spot Heralds The Return Of Tom Cruise’s Super Spy
If Paul Greengrass welcomed the return of a true genre icon with Jason Bourne earlier this year – a reticent man of few words who lets his fists and cunning mind do the talking – fans of action cinema can look forward to Tom Cruise swinging the pendulum back towards a more light-hearted and quip-happy super spy in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

Pitched as the sequel to Christopher McQuarrie’s 2012 sleeper hit – before the writer-director shifted gears into the Mission: Impossible franchise in time for Rogue Nation – Never Go Back is adapted from Lee Child’s thriller of the same name and finds our title hero making tracks for an old military base in Virginia. It’s here that Cruise’s hardman uncovers a potential conspiracy, one that threatens to engulf Cobie Smulders’ disgraced major, Susan Turner. Joining forces against corruption, Cruise and Smulders risk mutiny as they race to the...

Tom Cruise And Cobie Smulders Buddy Up In International Poster For Jack Reacher: Never Go Back
Emerging under the shadow of Paramount’s flagship action series Mission: Impossible, few would have predicted that Jack Reacher, a live-action adaptation that found Tom Cruise in the mighty shoes of the former major, would score $218 million at the worldwide box office with sound reviews to boot.

It may have lost director writer-director Christopher McQuarrie – snapped up by the Mission: Impossible franchise, incidentally – but Skydance is barrelling down on the release of Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, which welcomes series newcomer Cobie Smulders to the fray.

There, she’ll be rubbing shoulders with Cruise, Robert Catrini, Danika Yarosh, Aldis Hodge, Patrick Heusinger, Holt McCallany and Austin Hebert, and today’s action-packed international poster tees up that core action duo of Cruise and Smulders. What really has us excited for Never Go Back is that, in a bid to ensure the follow-up remains faithful to Lee Child’s novel series, the...

Fists Fly And Goons Fall In Latest Trailer For Jack Reacher: Never Go Back
“Why do I get the feeling you’re enjoying this?” Cobie Smulders’ disgraced high-ranking officer Susan Turner mutters in the explosive new trailer for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

That’s right, Tom Cruise’s decorated super-soldier is back on the war path in Edward Zwick’s action-packed sequel, which this time finds him pulled back to his old military base in Virginia, a placed riddled with double-crossing officials and government conspiracies. Although it’s here that Reacher digs out some old skeletons from the closet, tracing a string of clues that could potentially lead our reticent war hero toward his estranged daughter.

Tom Cruise Returns As Lee Child’s One-Man Army In Jack Reacher: Never Go Back Trailer
Jack Reacher is many things. A trained killer, a lone wolf, a one-man army; all attributes channeled through Tom Cruise in Christopher McQuarrie’s 2012 adaptation of Lee Child’s pulse-pounding novel series.

Four years later and though McQuarrie currently has his hands full with Paramount’s Mission: Impossible series – replaced at the helm by Edward Zwick – Cruise is primed to reprise his role as Child’s restless former major with Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

Pegged to arrive in October, the sequel has been pitched as a relatively self-contained experience – not unlike Child’s novels – welcoming How I Met Your Mother star Cobie Smulders into the fray as a disgraced commanding officer. Turning to Cruise’s agent in a time of need, it’s now up to Jack Reacher to shed his lone wolf status and ultimately buddy up with his newfound partner in crime.

Adapted from the 2013 novel of the same name,...

Cobie Smulders And Tom Cruise Buddy Up In First Jack Reacher: Never Go Back Teaser
Entertainment Tonight has offered up our first peek at action sequel Jack Reacher: Never Go Back in motion, teeing up the action duo of Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) and Tom Cruise. Fast forward to the 0:40 mark to see Smudlers and Cruise kicking ass and taking names.

On board to reprise his role as the infamous Jack Reacher, Cruise’s not-so-tall agent clearly hasn’t lost his edge in the intervening years since Christopher McQuarrie’s sleeper hit arrived, here seen upending a standard arrest in a remote diner and sending two seemingly corrupt police officers behind bars.

Pitched as a relatively self-contained action movie, Never Go Back takes inspiration from Lee Child’s 2013 novel of the same name, following Cruise’s war hero as he journeys “back to his old military base in Virginia to take a woman to dinner who is now the commanding officer. By the time he gets there, she has been arrested, and Reacher finds himself being charged with pummeling one guy and fathering a child with a woman.”

That commanding officer is Cobie Smulders, who turns to her own ally in a time of need. Robert Catrini, Danika Yarosh, Aldis Hodge, Patrick Heusinger, Holt McCallany and Austin Hebert are also set to star in Paramount’s high-octane sequel.

Tom Cruise reprises his role as the world-famous drifter when Jack Reacher: Never Go Back makes a beeline for theaters on October 21.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back Reveals New Images
While some people are still bemoaning the fact that Tom Cruise is playing Lee Child’s hulking creation Jack Reacher (despite the fact that the movie was really, really, really good), Cruise is going back to the well for another stab at the character with Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, continuing the trend started with the original and just picking a random book in the series to adapt (in this case, Never Go Back is the 18th Jack Reacher novel). People have our first look at the movie, which sees The Last Samurai’s Edward Zwick taking the reins from original director Christopher McQuarrie, featuring a glimpse at it’s New Orleans setting and Cruise newest co-star, Cobie Smulders. Also starring Rober Knepper, Danika Yarosh, Patrick Heusinger, Aldis Hodge, Holt McCallany, and Robert Catrini, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back comes our way on October 21st.

First Look At Action Sequel Jack Reacher: Never Go Back Sees Tom Cruise In Cuffs
See Full Gallery Here

People has today premiered our first look at Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, the action sequel that welcomes Tom Cruise back in the title role.

He’s in a spot of bother with the law, too, with one of two images showcasing Cruise’s enigmatic ex-army man in cuffs. Franchise newcomer Cobie Smulders features in the second still, who was welcomed aboard late last year to portray a disgraced Army officer fighting to clear her name following accusations of spying.

Retaining his famous razor-sharp focus and commitment to the part, director Edward Zwick (The Last Samurai) revealed to People that Tom Cruise performed all of his own stuntwork during filming on Never Go Back: “It’s a pretty boring job to be Tom’s stunt double. He did all of his own stunts. It’s almost a hallmark of what he does. He does every bit of it himself.

Jack Reacher Sequel Taps The Hunger Games Actor Robert Knepper
Production is already underway on Paramount’s action sequel Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, but the studio has made room for another last-minute addition to the cast in the form of Robert Knepper.

Best known for his roles across Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters, The Day The Earth Stood Still and both installments in Lionsgate’s two-part finale to The Hunger Games, Knepper will assume the role of General Harkness opposite Tom Cruise et al., one described as “a man of power, experience, and authority who thinks he’s the hero and is not afraid to do what’s necessary.”

Technically speaking, when we met Knepper’s character in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, he’ll be a retired general of the Us military, spending his days as CEO of a powerful yet dubious private military corporation. Cue the fist fight with Cruise’s title star, then.

Rounding out the...
