Paul Murphy, the executive producer of The Famous Five (Paul played
Dick) said of Paul: "At the crucial workshop Paul crashed through the
door late because his taxi had got lost. He wasn't prepared and fluffed
his lines. He really thought he'd blown it, but he worked hard through
the improvisation and soon climbed back. We realised we had found Dick
- he captures his personality perfectly."
