  • Trivia
After a long career in movies and television, Leroy Coleman went to work for R. Duell & Associates, theme park designers, where he was the lead designer for the Opryland theme park. He subsequently became President and the Chief Operating Officer of the firm until his retirement in 1980. (The founder of the company, Randall Duell, had been, like Coleman, a staff art director under contract to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which is how the two men knew each other). Coleman was also a founding member of Set Designers & Model Makers, Local 847, IATSE.
