One of the best parts was the touching moment when Jacob and his mother, Del (Andie MacDowell), met again. “Everyone on set was waiting for that moment as much as the fans are right now,” said Heather Conkie, who helped make the show. “As we started looking at this show and the concept, it became so much clearer to us how oddly echoing it all was to the book, and we sort of thought well, if it’s there, let’s use it. “Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light,” based on the final novel in Hilary Mantel’s trilogy, will begin filming in the United Kingdom soon, according to Masterpiece, PBS and the BBC. Oscar winner Mark Rylance is back as Thomas Cromwell, joined by Emmy winner Damian Lewis returning as King Henry VII and Oscar nominee Jonathan Pryce as Cardinal Wolsey.

Kate Phillips will also reprise her role as Henry VIII’s third wife, Jane Seymour, and Lilit Lesser is Princess Mary, the daughter of Henry and his first wife Catherine of Aragon.

Per the release, “Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light” will follow “the final four years of Cromwell’s life, completing his journey from self-made man to the most feared, influential figure of his time.”

The outlet reports that The Way Home Season 1 is beating out cable mainstays The Real Housewives of Potomac, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, and Home Town.

The cable network announced Tuesday that it will offer viewers a special event night with a double dose of primetime drama on Sunday, March 26.

The big night kicks off with the highly-anticipated season finale of its critically acclaimed, hit multigenerational family drama series The Way Home.

The freshman drama moves to an earlier time slot of 8 p.m. Et/Pt.

After The Way Home wraps its run, we'll be introduced to the new drama series, Ride, at 9 p.m. Et/Pt. 

Ride follows the intertwined lives of a rodeo family dynasty.

Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow (The Apprentice) star in The Way Home, which premiered Sunday, January 15, and has become a runaway hit for the cable network.

Over its first three episodes, The Way Home grew from its premiere to become cable's #1 program on Sundays.

Sunday’s debut of The Way Home starring Andie MacDowell and Chyler Leigh helped the Hallmark Channel to become the most-watched entertainment cable destination of the week and weekend in total day and primetime among key demos, according to Nielsen results.

The show, which marks the network’s first new original series in almost seven years, also ranked as the second most-watched entertainment cable program on Sunday and the third most-watched of the week, reaching 2.4 million unduplicated total viewers.

Hallmark announced Tuesday that Chyler Leigh has joined the cast of its new original primetime series.

The project is slated to begin production later this month for a 2023 premiere on Hallmark Channel.

Leigh plays Kat Landry, who moved away from her small, Canadian farm town of Port Haven many years ago following a family tragedy, and remains estranged from her mother Del (Andie MacDowell) to this day.
