Buried with his wife Paulette Coquatrix in the "Père Lachaise Cemetery" in Paris.

Ray Ventura was his best man and the godfather of his daughter Patricia Coquatrix.

In 2010 was named a street in his name in Paris near of the Olympia which he was the director from 1954 to his death in 1979.
