Kamar de los Reyes, a veteran film, TV and voice actor best known for his portrayal of Antonio Vega on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live and as the villain Raul Menendez in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II, died Sunday in Los Angeles after a brief battle with cancer, a rep for the family confirmed to Deadline. He was 56.
Born in Puerto Rico but raised in Las Vegas, de los Reyes moved to Los Angeles in the late ’80s to begin an acting career which spanned the next 30-plus years. In 1994, de los Reyes originated the role of Pedro Quinn in the critically acclaimed off-Broadway play, Blade to the Heat, which led to the role of Ferdinand in George C. Sands keep falling through the hourglass at “Days of Our Lives.” Actress Kristian Alfonso, who has been with the show off and on since 1983, announced exclusively to Deadline that she won’t be returning to the show when it resumes production on September 1 following the lengthy production hiatus that was the result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Will you be sad to see her go?

Days of Our Lives will be short another cast member when it returns to production on September 1.
The long-running soap had already announced that Galen Gering (Rafe), Freddie Smith (Sonny), and Chandler Massey (Will) were all set to exit.
But nobody guessed that Kristian Alfonso (Hope) would be joining them.
The actress explained in a statement to Deadline that she was going to begin writing the next chapter of her life and that she had already filmed her final scenes before the series went on hiatus for the pandemic.
Since Days of Our Lives was filming six to eight months ahead of schedule before the break, her final scenes will likely air sometime this fall or winter.
While it's not clear whose choice it was for Alfonso to leave Days of Our Lives, she seems happy and excited about whatever comes next.
But fans will certainly miss her!

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “Bluebeard’s Castle,” the first season finale of “You.”
On Lifetime’s “You,” Joe Goldberg’s (Penn Badgley) past has come back to haunt him — just in time for the show to take its hiatus between seasons.
At the end of the first season, showrunner Sera Gamble opted to bring Joe’s ex Candace (Ambyr Childers) walking through the doors of his bookstore, very much alive and very much to the surprise of Joe himself. This was a major plot deviation from Caroline Kepnes’ novel of the same name, on which the show has been based. The novel ends with Joe finding a new object of obsession in the form of a young woman named Amy.
“The philosophy is always to remix the books in a way that makes emotional sense,” Gamble tells Variety. “The way you feel when you read the books,...

Is this even allowed by the laws of the universe? Dylan McDermott and Dermot Mulroney — whom you’ve no doubt confused once or twice — will share the screen for the first time when the latter guest-stars on the former’s midseason Fox airline comedy La to Vegas.
Per EW.com, McDermott’s Captain Dave will match wits with rival pilot Captain Steve (Mulroney), who has a magnetic, rock-star charm.
Mulroney recently appeared on FX’s American Horror Story: Cult and starred in CBS’ short-lived medical drama Pure Genius. His other TV credits include Shameless, Crisis, New Girl, Enlightened and Friends.

Woo hoo! Law & Order: Svu Season 18 Episode 10 marks the series' 400th episode.
Some shows would have celebrated this major milestone with a flashy episode that was more pomp and circumstance than story. I'm thrilled that Svu did not.
It had a talented guest cast, including soap alum Daniel Cosgrove, and what appeared to be a sensationalistic crime, but nothing was done just for ratings. There was also a compelling story that kept me on the edge of my seat until the credits rolled.
"Motherly Love" was a psychological thriller, plain and simple.
The major question before the detectives this week wasn't who raped who, but how far a woman with narcissistic tendencies would go to protect herself and what to do to make sure her teenage son didn't suffer any more than he already had.
Fin: She's a stone-cold liar.

It was a sad, yet exciting week on Days of Our Lives.
Aiden left town after realizing what he'd become in the name of trying to win Hope back. Later, Andre made sure the whole town knew that Hope had killed Stefano. And elsewhere in Salem, Theo seemed to be the only one with questions about Abe's new doctor, former flame Valerie Grant.
I've been very disappointed in Aiden's return. Daniel Cosgrove is a terrific actor and the character of Aiden had so much potential. Serving as the town lawyer could have given him some meaty stories, as could his new appointment as Da.
He might have had lots of opportunities to interact with Salemites, who are awfully prone to judging others, and maybe even to move on with another woman if Hope was determined to stay with Rafe.
Instead, Aiden was rewritten into a quasi-villain before his exit last...

Change is in the air -- or is it?
On this week's Days of Our Lives, Nicole and Deimos both struggled with the question of whether reformation was truly possible while Victor insisted it wasn't. Meanwhile, Hope and Aiden questioned whether they could ever move past the past and Abigail's disappearance left Chad with regrets.
Deimos angered me a couple weeks ago with his insinuation that the "real" Nicole wouldn't be happy with Daniel. He seemed to be determined to continue along this annoying path, telling her again that she changed for Daniel and that he loves her for who she really is.
Not only is Nicole more interesting and authentic as a good person who does questionable things for the right reasons, but this is disrespectful to the fact that she lost her fiancee less than a year ago. Deimos, who has been mourning Helena for 30 years, should be...

Not only is Nicole more interesting and authentic as a good person who does questionable things for the right reasons, but this is disrespectful to the fact that she lost her fiancee less than a year ago. Deimos, who has been mourning Helena for 30 years, should be...

Continuing the celebration of Beverly Hills, 90210‘s thirtieth anniversary this month, here are the final 13 iconic moments, covering the show’s later years, in which its most notable events involve the departures of major characters as the show transforms into a more traditional primetime soap opera.
13. Valerie arrives in Beverly Hills: Season 5, Episode 1, “What I Did On My Summer Vacation and Other Stories”
With the onset of the fifth season of Beverly Hills, 90210, the producers of the show found themselves needing to fill the void left behind by Shannon Doherty’s departure. To do so, they tapped Tiffani Amber-Thiessen, fresh off her iconic role as Kelly Kapowski on Saved by the Bell (the kind of squeaky-clean, brightly-colored, no-consequences teen show that 90210, in its early existence, was actively working in contrast against) to play Valerie Malone, an old friend of the Walshes transplanted from Buffalo, NY to Beverly Hills. The terror begins.
Oh, and you’re welcome.
Abigail enters the church carrying a tray of Sinful Doughnuts. How do i know? None are … wait for it … Holy. She removes her coat revealing a mustard monstrosity.
Sonny and Gabi are at the kitchen table being upstaged by fruit in a bizarre wire bowl. Where would the grapes go?
They’re discussing the Nick situation, and everything they’ve needed to do to cover their tracks. Will comes home and mentions that Eric is doing fine (no word on his testicle dampness), and may even be able to conduct the christening. But there is a problem … Julie is going all Jessica Fletcher around town.
Ej and his tiny teacup question Stefano about Doctor Doom. Meanwhile, Julie needs a damn hobby. She’s adamant that whoever has been texting as Nick isn’t really Nick, and she’s going to get to the bottom of it.

Actor Daniel Cosgrove has joined the cast of Days of Our Lives in the mysterious new role of Aiden. He began filming in September, and his character will debut at the end of January.
They will have to release info on the character soon, and I’m sure it’ll turn out that he’s some lost Horton, or involved with con artist Jordan, or something equally dull, but … what if … what if … he’s actually the Will & Sonny interloper they’ve been teasing for months?
If you recall, Tptb wanted a new Will in place before they started a new “love triangle” storyline, and the timing does seem right.
While we wait official word that he’s actually some lost Brady or something equally stultifying, let’s take a look at the pros and cons of Daniel Cosgrove as the new WilSon blocker.

Person of Interest, Season 3, Episode 4: “Reasonable Doubt”
Written by Melissa Scrivner Love
Directed by Stephen Williams
Airs Tuesdays at 10pm Et on CBS
“Reasonable Doubt” finds Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Finch (Michael Emerson) trying to protect Vanessa Watkins (Kathleen Rose Perkins), a prosecutor who may or may not have killed her husband on a boat and thrown his body overboard. When Watkins escapes police custody, the team has to locate her and decide for themselves if she is innocent or guilty.
This is the problem that constantly exists within Person of Interest: it has a baseline story line that only serves to be procedural and nothing else. The case involving the number might be intriguing, but boredom erupts out of only having the case to focus on. If anything else actually does happen throughout the episode, it’s minor and little more than an aside. Is Person of Interest...

From the people who brought you Animal House and the Vacation franchise comes National Lampoon's Van Wilder, a movie about a guy who after seven years in college finds himself cut off financially from his father and forced to complete a semester's worth of coursework in six days in order to gradate. The movie was the breakout role for Ryan Reynolds and also stars Tara Reid, Daniel Cosgrove, and includes a cameo from Tim Matheson as Wilder's dad (Matheson, of course, played Otter in Animal House).
On paper the movie should have been a dud but thanks to Reynolds' perfect comedic performance and some truly funny scenes, the movie was a hit and made it onto The Countdown's Back to School list.

After 54 years on the air and 13,858 episodes, As the World Turns has ended.
The last installment aired this afternoon and was filled with closure. Doctor Bob Hughes (Don Hastings) retired from the hospital , Barbara (Colleen Zenk) dissolved her partnership with Paul (Roger Howarth), Casey (Billy Magnussen) left for law school, Chris (Daniel Cosgrove) proposed to Katie (Terri Colombino), Lucinda (Elizabeth Hubbard) and John (Larry Bryggman) got back together, and Janet (Julie Pinson) asked Jack (Michael Park) to be Lorenzo’s godfather.
It seemed like everyone's storyline was wrapped up in some way, except for Luke (Van Hansis). As fans are well aware, he lost Reid (Eric Sheffer Stevens) last week and yesterday, said goodbye to Noah (Jake Silbermann). The closest he got was to be able to use Reid's stethoscope to listen to Reid's heart, now pumping in Chris' body.

After 10 seasons on the small screen, fans of Fox's primetime soap "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990-2000) can relive the magic without guilt. After all, the date is 9/02/10.
"Chuck" executive producer Josh Schwartz tweeted a fan-made video of a "Gossip Girl" opening to "Beverly Hills, 90210's" iconic 1990s theme. Star Jennie Garth, who was a regular for the entire 10-season run said via Twitter, "Love to the original cast and crew. And the new kids too."
Logo from Season 1 The original hourlong drama introduced us to a slew of stars (and two-time Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank) both past and future, and a decade after the show ended its run, several castmembers went on to other projects. But would they be able to sustain success in their post-"90210" careers?
The biggest surprise -- and possible discovery -- was Swank's 16-episode arc as Steve Sanders' (Ian Ziering) girlfriend Carly Reynolds in the ninth season.

It looks like the upcoming Brothers and Sisters flashback episode is causing a bit of a problem for the casting directors. First, we witnessed Joe Jonas back out of his role as Tommy Walker. While that spot was filled, we have another report regarding replacements.
Earlier, it was announced that Beverly Hills, 90210 star Daniel Cosgrove bagged the role of a young William Walker on the big TV event. Unfortunately, he won't be doing so anymore. E! Online proclaimed another switch in the cast, saying that his part will now be played by Melrose Place's Colin Egglesfield.

It hasn't even been two weeks since Zap2it reported that ABC cast Daniel Cosgrove in the role of young William Walker in its "Brothers & Sisters" two-hour flashback episode.
Now, reports say that Cosgrove has been replaced and former "Melrose Place" hunk, Colin Egglesfield, has stepped into young William Walker's shoes.
We last saw Egglesfield as Auggie in The CW's "Melrose Place" reboot. The bartender, who struggled with his demons as a recovering alcoholic, shared a past with Sydney Andrews. After she was found dead, Egglesfield's character was accused of her murder and he made himself scarce.
As Zap2it's Korbi TV reported, Egglesfield's untimely departure from "Melrose Place" created a stir among its fans and we started a watch for where the handsome star would land next.
Now, it seems he has jumped networks to ABC and "Brothers & Sisters." If the news is true, we're sad to see Cosgrove go.

"Brothers & Sisters" is really ramping up its castings for the two hour flashback episode airing on Sun., April 11 at 9pm on ABC.
ABC tells Zap2it that former "Beverly Hills, 90210" actor, Daniel Cosgrove, has signed on to play young William Walker.
We knew that William Walker, the man who is pretty much behind most of the present drama on the show, would have to be a particularly special casting. He'd have to be dashing enough to grab Nora's heart and pick up a few extras along the way like Holly and Ryan's mother.
We can now say, bravo, ABC.
Cosgrove is best known for his role on "Beverly Hills, 90210" and his off-again-on-again relationship with Jennie Garth's Kelly Taylor. He also had quite a stint on "Guiding Light" as Bill Lewis. He has guest starred on other ABC Shows, "The Forgotten" and "Dirty Sexy Money," as well as CBS' "The Good Wife.

After several announcements regarding the identities of the Walkers' younger versions and the whole Joe Jonas fiasco, there's more news coming from the Brothers and Sisters set. According to sources, the earlier incarnation of the family patriarch will be portrayed by Daniel Cosgrove.
E! Online has confirmed that the Beverly Hills, 90210 star has signed on for the role on the ABC drama. We don't exactly know the specifics of his storyline, but he will be filling in the shoes for actor Tom Skerritt's deceased character. That alone might be enough clues for us.

As previously reported, Joe Jonas is out and Cody Longo is in on Brothers & Sisters, as the actor will play a younger version of Tommy on an upcoming two-episode flashback arc that delves into the Walker family history.
Meanwhile, sources now confirm that a familiar face will come aboard the drama in the role of a 1970's William Walker.
Daniel Cosgrove - who has appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210, Dirty Sexy Money, Guiding Light and, most recently, The Good Wife - has signed on to play a version of Tom Skerritt's deceased character.
Think there's any resemblance between the actors?...

You can't blame the Powers That Be over at Brothers & Sisters. They really did cast Joe Jonas as a young Balthazar Getty, but damn those JoBros are a busy bunch! Due to scheduling conflicts the pop superstar will no longer be the filling Tommy's shoes, but my sources confirm what our frenemy over at EW has reported: that Make It or Break It's Cody Longo is the new young'un taking over the role. As for the once beloved patriarch, inside sources at B&S tell us that a semifamiliar and fully hot face has been cast as the youthful William Walker... Daniel Cosgrove, of Dirty Sexy Money and Beverly Hills, 90210 fame (yes, the guy who almost married Kelly Taylor, and stole her away from...

He got his big break on Beverly Hills, 90210; moved to Guiding Light for several years and has now found a new soap opera home.
Soap Opera Digest reports that Daniel Cosgrove has been cast on As The World Turns.
No word yet on what role he'll play, but the actor will debut in early 2010. Cosgrove has already appeared on All My Children and Dirty Sexy Money.
