Alli Dore shared a throwback picture for her son’s first birthday. Pic credit: @allidoreporfavor/Instagram
Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Alli Dore just celebrated her beloved son River‘s first birthday.
To commemorate the occasion, Alli shared a throwback picture from when she first gave birth.
The throwback came as she also posted a picture of baby River enjoying his first birthday festively.
Alli was on Season 2 of Sailing Yacht where she had many notable moments including a hookup with her costar Dani Soares and another with first mate Gary King.
Alli and Gary continued their relationship once filming ended, but it did not last long. Shortly after that, and following Dani’s pregnancy announcement, Alli revealed that she was pregnant herself.
Alli’s baby daddy was her boyfriend at the time, Benny Thompson. It is unclear whether the two are still together since Benny does not follow Alli...

Relighting the Black Flame Candle won’t bring Omri Katz or Vinessa Shaw back for the “Hocus Pocus” sequel.
The highly-anticipated sequel to the 1993 Disney flick sees Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy reprise their roles as the witchy Sanderson Sisters, but Katz and Shaw – who played the teen protagonists Max and Allison in the original – will not return.
Director Anne Fletcher tells EW they tried to fit Max and Allison back into the story but “it was difficult”.
“We wanted to weave in all of the people that the fans loved, and when you sat back with all the ingredients and story, you’re like, how do we make this work?” Fletcher asks. “It was very difficult to try to have them be a part of it, because we did talk about it — painstakingly.”

Horror is not an exact science, though Ari Aster's directorial debut, "Hereditary," has been scientifically shown to elevate heart rates better than any other horror movie. With "Midsommar," Aster avoided the sophomore slump, just as he avoided the dark suburban interiors of his first film in favor of bright pastoral exteriors. Crowning Florence Pugh's protagonist, Dani, the May Queen in colorful flowers against a green backdrop, "Midsommar" was at the forefront of the 2010s folk horror revival, but it isn't as frightening as "Hereditary," nor is that its aim, to hear Aster tell it.

Ari Aster's "Midsommar" contains one of the bleakest openings in cinema history. The audience sees, in explicit detail, the tragic deaths of a young woman and her parents by murder/suicide. Dani (Florence Pugh), the young woman's sister, begins the film in a place of deep emotional aching, an ache that is exacerbated by the brash distance kept by her teetering-on-the-brink-of-being-an-ex boyfriend Christian (Jack Reynor). Because he has no better ideas, Christian haphazardly drags Dani on a college research trip to a remote Midsommar festival -- a days long celebration of the summer solstice -- in a distant area of Sweden. Hallucinogens are consumed. Cultural misunderstandings commence....

Tom Mann is continuing to get candid about the sudden death of his fiancée, Danielle "Dani" Hampson. The former X Factor contestant shared an emotional message to Dani on social media. "My everyday person," he wrote on his Instagram Stories on July 26. "It's so lonely without you." Tom continued, "I miss the simple things. I miss you. I cannot remember the feeling of happiness or what life before felt like." Tom's post included a photo of Danielle—who was just 34 years old at the time of her death—wearing a white jumpsuit and sipping on a cocktail. The singer concluded: "I love you till the end of...

DC Comics "Detective Comics" #1062, available July 26, 2022, is written by Ram V., Simon Spurrier, illustrated by Rafael Albuquerque and Dani, with covers by Evan Cagle, Lee Bermejo, J.H. Williams and InHyuk Lee:
"...something is terribly wrong with 'Batman'. No matter the tests 'Bruce' takes, nor the numbers he counts, the greatest detective in the world can't pin down the source of this creeping dread -- of his own inner demons and a looming mortality.
"Meanwhile, real demons roam the shadows as an ancient melody haunts the 'Gotham' night. Here now the curtains rise and as the eerie tune streams in...who is human, who is demon, who is to tell?
"As Batman investigates the songs and the demons of Gotham, he is forced to confront the oldest question...whether there has been a demon within him all along...and if so, what does it want?..."

Even with all the great charisma the actors bring to the screen, there isn’t enough in The Gray Man to make it a stand-out action film. The generic Netflix action film feels like it’s only gone straight to streaming so the world won’t see how bad it bombs at the box office.
The recipe for this action film (like so many streaming has pumped out in the last few years) is to get an A-list movie star to play a man who’s the best at what he does, then get a random plot that manages to get them from set piece to set piece, all while being hunted down by every bad guy you can imagine. Every action films lately...

It looks as if both Deadpool 2 and New Mutants have wrapped production ahead of their 2019 releases. Deadpool 2 will introduce mutants like Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz) while New Mutants will introduce audiences to a group of teen mutants, such as Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, Blu Hunt as Dani Moonstar, and Henry Zaga as Sunspotboth will hit theaters next year.
Thanks to Ryan Reynolds and his social media accounts and the fact that Deadpool 2 shot a number of outdoor scenes this summer, we’ve had plenty of behind-the-scenes looks into the filming of the movie. But on the other side of the spectrum, we haven't seen anything from New Mutants despite that it was filming at the same time. This could mean that most of the movie was shot in a studio allowing Fox to more tightly control what’s been revealed.

Day for Night
Written by François Truffaut, Jean-Louis Richard, and Suzanne Schiffman
Directed by François Truffaut
France, 1973
From Fellini to Fassbinder, Minnelli to Godard, some of international cinema’s greatest directors have turned their camera on their art and, by extension, themselves. But in the annals of great films about filmmaking, few movies have captured the rapturous passion of cinematic creation and the consuming devotion to film as well as François Truffaut’s Day for Night. While there are a number of stories at play in this love letter to the movies, along with several terrific performances throughout, the crux of the film, the real star of the show, is cinema itself.
Prior to Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino, Truffaut was arguably the most fervent film loving filmmaker, wearing his affection for the medium on his directorial sleeve and seldom missing an opportunity to sound off in interviews or in...

“The Movie For Movie Lovers”
By Raymond Benson
François Truffaut had an all too short but certainly brilliant career as a filmmaker. He began in the world of film criticism in France, but in the late 1950s he decided to make movies himself. Truffaut quickly shot to the forefront of the French New Wave in the late 1950s and early 60s, alongside the likes of Jean-Luc Godard, Eric Rohmer, Alain Resnais, and others. By the time the 70s rolled around, Truffaut was a national treasure in France and a mainstay in art house cinemas in the U.S. and Britain.
His 1973 masterpiece, Day for Night (in France La Nuit Américaine, or “American Night”), won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film of that year, the only time Truffaut picked up an Academy Award. Due to odd eligibility rules, the picture could be nominated for other categories the following year. For...

Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart Blu-Ray Review
There are few movies that are as wild, original, and filled with soul as Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart, and the only problem with that is that it’s going to make you think someone else directed it. (He didn’t.)
Adapted by Mathias Malzieu from his own bestselling novel and the gold-selling album by his band Dionysos, Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart is a magical story that feels like a new breed of myth, and it comes to you through brilliant animation.
Born on the coldest day in the history of the Earth, Jack’s heart is frozen solid. To save his life, midwife Madeleine grafts a tiny cuckoo clock into his chest to take its place. Everything will be fine, she tells him, so long as he follows three rules in order to keep things running smooth – He can never touch the clock’s workings,...

Day for Night (La Nuit Américaine)
Directed by François Truffaut
Written by François Truffaut
France, 1973
A clutch of in-jokes and a plethora of film references punctuate François Truffaut’s Day for Night, an insider’s view of movies and the people who make them. A decade earlier, Jean-Luc Godard directed Contempt/Le Mépris (1963), a dazzlingly shot but frustratingly opaque anti-love story, that’s also stuffed full of cinematic bric-a-brac. But while Godard gives you a semi-nude Brigitte Bardot, philosophical ramblings and (let’s be honest) a bit a of a headache, fellow New Wave auteur Truffaut just wants to enfold you in his warm and distinctly Gallic embrace.
Even if you suffer from subtitle phobia, or harbour a sneaking suspicion that the leading lights of the...
