In the history of popular sitcoms, Two and a Half Men will surely have a top spot with Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer leading the way. But apart from the stellar ensemble, creator Chuck Lorre also strategically brought in another aspect of the show that quickly grabbed the interest of the audience. The special element is the intro of the show which presents Sheen, Cryer, and Angus T. Jones lip-syncing the song Manly Men.

Just like many others, one user posted the same on Reddit adding just how much they love the theme song of the show. And it’s safe to say that they’re not alone in this.

Have you ever noticed how Tommy from Rugrats sounds just like one of the Powerpuff Girls? Or that Scooby-Doo and Astro from The Jetsons speak very similar dog languages?
Hollywood’s voice-acting community is full of really talented people who can churn out a bunch of different voices, but that doesn’t mean they don’t occasionally have characters that end up sounding exactly alike (it doesn’t help that this group of performers is relatively small).
To that end, here are 10 sets of cartoon characters whose voices are practically interchangeable…
10 Scooby-Doo and Astro
The Jetsons, which debuted as a prime-time show in 1962, is considered a classic today, but it didn’t gain that status until the 1980s when it re-debuted on Saturday mornings with new episodes. And so, when Scooby-Doo came along in 1969, six years after The Jetsons was canceled, voice actor Don Messick thought nothing of re-using Astro...

Froggy, played by Billy Laughlin, was a popular character in The Little Rascals short films known for his croaking voice. Laughlin started as support for Alfalfa, but eventually took on a central role in the series, showcasing his singing and comedy talents. Tragically, Billy Laughlin passed away in a traffic collision at just 16 years old, marking the end of his short but impactful acting career.
The Froggy actor from the original The Little Rascals short films had his life tragically cut short. Modern audiences may only know The Little Rascals as the 1994 feature-length adaptation, but way before that, The Little Rascals was a series of comedy shorts called Our Gang, chronicling the lives of a group of goofy and trouble-making neighborhood children. Set in San Francisco on the eve of John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Dogfight is pitched on the precipice of a massive sea change in American life. The post-war boom of the 1950s is waning, and the civil rights era and the Vietnam War are right around the corner. The film’s protagonists exist, then, in a kind of liminal space, uncomfortable in their own skin and riddled with anxieties and uncertainties about their immediate futures.
Released in 1991, when nostalgia for the ’60s was near its peak, Nancy Savoca’s film takes a distinctly feminine perspective on the era, challenging the unbridled machismo and ritualistic behaviors that were often celebrated, or at least unexamined, in the male-directed films of the time. For the opening 20 minutes, we bear witness to an especially cruel competition in which Eddie Birdlace (River Phoenix), an 18-year-old Marine, and several of his jarhead buddies, all on...

Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup zoomed onto TV screens 25 years ago, as Cartoon Network’s The Powerpuff Girls debuted on November 18, 1998. Created by Craig McCracken, the animated series told how one professor’s quest to concoct the “perfect little girl” went awry with the accidental addition of Chemical X, turning three kindergarten-aged girls into super-powered crimefighters. These days, the Powerpuff Girls live on only in reruns and streaming libraries — a recent live-action adaptation never made it past the pilot stage, unfortunately. But with new comic books and even a new TV show in the pipeline, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup will be back with new stories faster than you can say “Fuzzy Lumpkins.” Here’s a breakdown of the franchise so far… The original series In Cartoon Network’s The Powerpuff Girls — which aired six seasons between 1998 and 2005 — Tara Strong, E.G. Who is really singing the annoyingly catchy Two And A Half Men theme song? Two And A Half Men is a sitcom that debuted in 2003 and originally centered on the broke Alan (Jon Cryer) moving into his brother Charlie's (Charlie Sheen) Malibu beach house after he divorces his wife. The half man of the title refers to Alan's adorably dimwitted son Jake (Angus T. Jones), and the series revolved around Charlie's lifestyle of casual sex and drinking contrasting with Alan's perpetual loser status. Like most Chuck-Lorre-created sitcoms such as The Big Bang Theory, Two And A Half Men rarely received warm reviews, but it was a ratings juggernaut.
Charlie's character on the show wrote commercial jingles, so it makes sense the theme for Two And Half Men itself is catchy – annoyingly so, as it just consists of the words "men" and "manly" over and over again. Lorre himself co-wrote this theme with Lee Aronsohn,...

The original Rugrats serves as a major piece of nostalgia for many adults around the world. The animated storytelling and the voice actors were both top-notch Nickelodeon content, which made their way into pop culture. Rugrats embraced its iconic voice acting talents ranging from Tommy Pickles to his good friend, Chuckie Finster. It turned out that Tommy’s originally came from Elizabeth Daily‘s “cute” elementary school shenanigans.

Walter Hill has had a long and fruitful career, directing some of everyone’s favorite films. He recently put out his western, Dead for a Dollar (read our review) and made the press rounds (check out our interview here) leading to a revaluation of his work somewhat. His filmography encompasses a lot of classics and many genres as a writer and as a director. His work as a producer covers even more ground. Here we will take a look at his directorial work which started in 1975 with Hard Times, and is still going today, The man has had one good career with rare few lesser films. To select which films to put on this list, the weaker ones were crossed out, and then we just had to go with our favorites as they are all parts of the best of what’s out there for film fans.

Here’s something for the whole family: Rugrats has not only returned, now on Paramount+ with an updated look, but when the cast and executive producer spoke with TV Insider, we were treated to a very familiar voice saying a very familiar line. Voice cast members Eg Daily (Tommy Pickles), Cheryl Chase (Angelica Pickles), and Charlet Chung (Kimi Watanabe-Finster) and executive producer Eryk Casemiro sat down with Emily Aslanian in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine video suite, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded, at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 to discuss bringing the show back and how the fans have received it. For Daily, what fans most want to know when they approach her is, “if ‘a baby’s gotta do what a baby’s gotta do,'” she said — in Tommy’s voice! You don’t want to miss it. Rugrats originally aired nine seasons from 1991 to 2004 on Nickelodeon. Paramount+ then...

Marvel will make some big waves with its upcoming new movies (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and Disney+ series (She-Hulk), but it will keep some powder dry for D23 in early September. Dwayne Johnson will be booming with New Line/DC’s Black Adam, along with Shazam: Fury of the Gods star Zachary Levi. However, while Sony will be skipping as the Spider-Verse animated sequel is set for next year. Paramount will be giving fans an early look at Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. And there’s Kevin Smith with Clerks III.

Everett Peck, whose comic-book creation Duckman was adapted into a late-1990s animated series with Jason Alexander voicing the lewd private-eye title character, died Tuesday, June 14, of cancer in California. He was 71.

Alexander, who was co-starring on Seinfeld during the 1994-97 Duckman series run on USA Network, called Peck “a genius animator and cartoonist who brought Duckman to life.”

One of the oldies celebrated by lovers of ’80s fare, Martha Coolidge’s ode to pampered teens in La La Land has aged extremely well. It’s still fairly representative of reality, but the romantic fairy tale angle is what keeps it afloat. Nicolas Cage’s unguarded vulnerability and Deborah Foreman’s infectious smile win the day — we like these kids, even if they’re somewhat idealized.

Cults and their leaders have always equally repulsed, fascinated, and terrified me. The repulsion and terror are obvious markers for any sane person, but some would rather not have it in their lives at all, thank you very much. This is also a lucid and healthy response. But in horror we look for the cathartic in the carnal; and while Bad Dreams (1988) spends a great deal of effort mining a very similar vein as A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), it succeeds in carving out its own modest slice in the late ‘80s landscape.
Released stateside in April by Twentieth Century Fox, Bad Dreams made back its $4 million dollar budget opening weekend, but petered out after it pulled in just over $9 million total. A profit, yes, but not the big numbers they were hoping for based on what they thought was a foolproof Elm Street format. Oh, and...

When it comes to Rob Zombie as a filmmaker I’ll admit I have something of a soft spot for his work. He knows his horror and never bows down for the constant calls to conform to the politically correct society that seems to dominate the entertainment world now. With the release of 31, the question is, has he managed to pull off another The Devil’s Rejects or is this more of a Halloween 2?
The first thing you’ll notice with the story of 31 is that it is in very familiar territory. A group of carnival employees (including of course Sheri Moon Zombie) are travelling cross-country on Halloween. They are soon kidnapped and are entered into...

Immediately after my 31 screening, Rob Zombie revealed how it only took a matter of seconds for his film’s wicked competition to materialize as an idea. This explains the chewy, undercooked nature of Zombie’s The Most Dangerous Game homage, which delivers buckets of grossness and a story that lacks a single spec of conviction. It’s death for death’s sake if you will, perverted by misogyny and told through rotting teeth. No one is safe, nothing is a sacred and life is belittled by Zombie’s bleakest endeavor yet, which is far from a pulpy-but-still-kinda-fun grindhouse experience. Think characters you don’t care about being hunted by villains you don’t understand – hate both the player and the game, you won’t be the only one.
