In the history of popular sitcoms, Two and a Half Men will surely have a top spot with Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer leading the way. But apart from the stellar ensemble, creator Chuck Lorre also strategically brought in another aspect of the show that quickly grabbed the interest of the audience. The special element is the intro of the show which presents Sheen, Cryer, and Angus T. Jones lip-syncing the song Manly Men.

Popular animated series Rugrats is heading back to the big screen, this time in a film which will include a hybrid of live action and animation.

Rugrats was one of the most popular children’s shows of the 1990s. Created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain, the series followed the midadventures of five infants – Tommy, Phil and Lil, Chuckie and Anjelica. It ran for nine seasons between 1991 and 2004.

The show became popular enough that in 1998 feature film The Rugrats Movie arrived in cinemas. This was followed in 2000 by Rugrats In Paris. In 2003, Rugrats Go Wild, which was a crossover with Klasky and Csupó’s other hit show The Wild Thornberrys, was released.

Spin-off series All Grown Up! ran for five seasons between 2003 and 2008. series of a CGI reboot of Rugrats was made for Paramount+ between 2021 and 2023, but it was removed from the streaming service in March this year.

A Rugrats live-action movie is officially in development. Rugrats was a Nickelodeon animated series that originally ran for nearly 2000 episodes across 1991 to 2003. The series featured a leading voice cast including Elizabeth Daily, Christine Cavanaugh, Nancy Cartwright, Kath Soucie, Melanie Chartoff, and Cheryl Chase. Rugrats was more recently rebooted into a 2021 computer animated series of the same name. Rugrats has also gotten feature-film treatment before, include the 1998 film The Rugrats Movie and the 2000 film Rugrats in Paris.

As per Deadline, a Rugrats live-action film is now in development.

Who is really singing the annoyingly catchy Two And A Half Men theme song? Everett Peck, whose comic-book creation Duckman was adapted into a late-1990s animated series with Jason Alexander voicing the lewd private-eye title character, died Tuesday, June 14, of cancer in California. He was 71.

On the illustrator’s Instagram page, a simple announcement reads, “Mr. Peck has left the studio… Oct. 9, 1950 – June 14, 2022.”

Alexander, who was co-starring on Seinfeld during the 1994-97 Duckman series run on USA Network, called Peck “a genius animator and cartoonist who brought Duckman to life.”

“It was an honor to voice his beloved creation and a joy to have known Everett,” Alexander tweeted yesterday. “He was one of a glorious kind. My best to his family&friends.”

One of the oldies celebrated by lovers of ’80s fare, Martha Coolidge’s ode to pampered teens in La La Land has aged extremely well. It’s still fairly representative of reality, but the romantic fairy tale angle is what keeps it afloat. Cults and their leaders have always equally repulsed, fascinated, and terrified me. The repulsion and terror are obvious markers for any sane person, but some would rather not have it in their lives at all, thank you very much. This is also a lucid and healthy response. But in horror we look for the cathartic in the carnal; and while Bad Dreams (1988) spends a great deal of effort mining a very similar vein as A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), it succeeds in carving out its own modest slice in the late ‘80s landscape.

Released stateside in April by Twentieth Century Fox, Bad Dreams made back its $4 million dollar budget opening weekend, but petered out after it pulled in just over $9 million total. Lapd spokesperson Jenny Houser confirmed to People that the 23-year-old heir to the Hilton family fortune was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of grand theft auto and violated a restraining order.

When it comes to Rob Zombie as a filmmaker I’ll admit I have something of a soft spot for his work. He knows his horror and never bows down for the constant calls to conform to the politically correct society that seems to dominate the entertainment world now. With the release of 31, the question is, has he managed to pull off another The Devil’s Rejects or is this more of a Halloween 2?

The first thing you’ll notice with the story of 31 is that it is in very familiar territory. A group of carnival employees (including of course Sheri Moon Zombie) are travelling cross-country on Halloween. They are soon kidnapped and are entered into...

Immediately after my 31 screening, Rob Zombie revealed how it only took a matter of seconds for his film’s wicked competition to materialize as an idea. This explains the chewy, undercooked nature of Zombie’s The Most Dangerous Game homage, which delivers buckets of grossness and a story that lacks a single spec of conviction. It’s death for death’s sake if you will, perverted by misogyny and told through rotting teeth. No one is safe, nothing is a sacred and life is belittled by Zombie’s bleakest endeavor yet, which is far from a pulpy-but-still-kinda-fun grindhouse experience. Think characters you don’t care about being hunted by villains you don’t understand – hate both the player and the game, you won’t be the only one.
