Several The Big Bang Theory stars appear in the revival of Night Court. The remade version of Night Court shares several things in common with the original version, which starred Harry Anderson as Judge Harry Stone and dealt with a variety of quirky courthouse employees and visitors to the court. The new version of the series is connected to The Big Bang Theory in several ways, chief among them that the leading role, Judge Abby Stone, is played by Melissa Rauch, who played Bernadette on the popular sitcom about a group of scientists.
Although Rauch is the only The Big Bang Theory alum in the Night Court season 3 cast, the series has other connections to her previous sitcom. Notably, two of Rauch's fellow co-stars have visited Night Court so far. These actors did not play their characters from The Big Bang Theory, but the episodes were considered reunions because of...

Harvey Dent is now one of DC's most widely adapted characters in movies and TV shows, though not all renditions rank the same. In typical Batman lore, Harvey Dent is Gotham's District Attorney before an acid attack by Salvatore Maroni severely disfigures half of his face. This causes Dent to descend into a life of crime as Two-Face, one of Batman's most iconic rogues' gallery members obsessed with duality and leaving fateful decisions to the flip of a coin.
Dent doesn't typically boast any superpowers and instead adds to the litany of Gotham's gun-toting crime bosses. This doesn't make the character any less compelling, however, as his striking visage is among the most recognizable when it comes to DC villains. His obsessive characterization, meanwhile, is another of his most compelling features, often making him a somewhat sympathetic DC villain. Throughout his numerous adaptations, some movies and TV shows hit...

Animation has always been a great medium to explore the boundless potential of sci-fi stories, and there are plenty of comedy shows which seize the freedom of animation. Animation and sci-fi go hand-in-hand, since both are interested in that which can't be ordinarily depicted using Earthly means. Animated sci-fi comedies have the opportunity of using the entire universe as their setting.
Ever since The Jetsons premiered in the 1960s, there have been animated sci-fi comedies, although most of these were targeted toward children. The arrival of Futurama in 1999 was a massive game-changer. After The Simpsons ushered in a new dawn for adult-oriented animated comedy, Futurama set the tone for sci-fi comedies. Since then, the 21st century has seen a boom in animated sci-fi comedies, with new classics such as Rick and Morty pushing the genre forward.

The Office continues to influence popular culture, with a new Netflix movie referencing the iconic sitcom. Many cast members have found success post-The Office, including Andy Daly in a quirky new role. Despite mixed reviews, The Office's "Benjamin Franklin" episode still has its moments, like the memorable Pam and Karen confrontation.
Despite ending in 2013, The Office still manages to have a large impact on popular culture, with a divisive new Netflix comedy movie being the latest project to reference the series. Widely regarded as one of the best sitcoms of all time, The Office provided viewers with a wealth of memorable episodes and laugh-out-loud moments across its nine-season run. Now, a certain episode of the show from way back in 2007 has received an unexpected follow-up.

Perhaps, like Jerry Seinfeld, you too have spent hours wondering: What’s the deal with Pop Tarts?! Is it a breakfast item or just undercover dessert? How do they get all that delicious fruity goo inside the tiny squares? Is there a goo gun? Who came up with the idea of putting “docker holes” on the top to keep the toaster steam out? Was it Bob from Engineering? And why the frosting, people? Was there not enough sugar already in there already? I wanna know!

Unfrosted movie features iconic food mascots like Tony the Tiger and Chef Boyardee, charting a hilarious rivalry between Kellogg's and Post. Hugh Grant plays a scheming Tony the Tiger, Bobby Moynihan brings Chef Boyardee to life, and the Triple Snack Giraffe makes an appearance. Look forward to comedic performances from Andy Daly as Quaker Oats Man, Cedric Yarbrough as Toucan Sam, and Winter Bassett as Little Debbie.
Jerry Seinfeld's upcoming movie, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, is packed with food mascot Easter eggs. The movie is loosely inspired by the true events of the competition between Kellogg's and Post to develop a breakfast pastry in the 1960s. Although the film focuses on a fictionalized version of the Pop-Tart origin story, the star-studded cast of Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story includes several famous breakfast and food mascots and will no doubt explore their role in creating many of the iconic products we still know and love today.

For years various producers have pitched doing something like a zany It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World, only populated by an epic cast of contemporary comedy stars just like that Stanley Kramer supercomedy did during its time in 1963. So it is probably not a coincidence that Jerry Seinfeld selected that very year in which to set his live action filmmaking debut, Unfrosted, as a quadruple threat of star, director, co-writer, producer.
Placing it in Battle Creek, Michigan and taking the real life story of the rivalry of cereal kingpins Kellogg’s and Post in their race to create a revolutionary breakfast pastry, Seinfeld and his longtime writing partner Spike Feresten, along with their Bee Movie collaborators Andy Rubin & Barry Marder, have chosen to use some real life people, made up several others, salted it all with some basic truths, and basically let the laughs and comedy lead the way in the telling.

10 years ago, Comedy Central's Review posed a question to the prospect of our singular, only life: “But is it any good?” One man set out to answer it, and, in the process, would proceed to blow up his own life and the lives of nearly every other person he met. That man was Forrest MacNeil, played by perhaps the only man who could’ve played him: beloved character actor (and actor of characters) Andy Daly. He would dedicate himself to experiencing suggestions from viewers — from stealing, to going to an orgy, to eating a truly upsetting number of pancakes — and rating them on a scale of five stars.

When it comes to guest appearances on the new "Frasier" revival, all the talk has been about returning stars from the original series. The 10–episode reboot show has so far seen the return of Frasier's ex-wife, former "Cheers" co-star, and frequent "Frasier" guest star Lilith (Bebe Neuwirth). Soon we'll also see the return of Peri Gilpin, who played the doctor's radio show producer, Roz, in the original series. Alas, we won't be treated to a guest appearance by David Hyde Pierce's Niles after the actor turned down the opportunity to return for the new show.
I would say it's all been exciting stuff, but really it's been vaguely amusing stuff that feels at once comfortable and uncanny — like we're watching an alternate reality version of "Frasier" written by super-fans that's not as good as the original. Lilith's return certainly provided a shot of nostalgia but also just reminded us...

One of the things the latest version of the Frasier series does well is weave the history of its characters into the current storylines, and Frasier Season 1 Episode 9 is a wonderful example.
Let's unpack the entertaining psychology of this latest installment, which includes scheming to impress women, or at least not scare them off, as well as the relationship between fathers and sons.
We'll start with the funniest moments.
I didn't expect Frasier to go along so willingly with the story Freddy was fabricating, and that made this skit all the more comical.
Frasier really does understand how challenging it can be as an adult to explain why you're living with your parent. He's been there plenty of times as he navigated dating and living with Martin.
Freddy: It’s just, you have no idea how hard it is to explain to a woman that I’m a grown man living with my Dad.

Jules, a sci-fi film starring Ben Kingsley, went unnoticed in theaters but is now a hit on Netflix, gaining 6.7 million views in its first week in Netflix's Top 10. Despite positive reviews, the movie only made $2 million in theaters before gaining popularity on the streaming platform. Critics have praised Jules for its outstanding ensemble cast led by Kingsley and its ability to engage with universally resonant themes. It balances high concept with emotional storytelling, making it a touching sci-fi comedy.
After flying under the radar earlier this year, Jules is now a hit on Netflix. The sci-fi film follows Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley as Milton, a man whose quiet, routine life in a small western Pennsylvania town is upended when a UFO carrying an extra-terrestrial passenger crash lands in his backyard. In addition to Kingsley, the cast includes Jane Curtin, Harriet Sansom Harris, Zoë Winters, Jade Quon, and Andy Daly.

“Big Mouth” is embracing its savage side with the announcement that Grammy-winning Megan Thee Stallion will guest star in Season 7. The penultimate season of the Netflix animated comedy is set to premiere October 20.
Based on this first teaser, the rapper will be playing a Hormone Monstress named — you guessed it — Megan Thee Stallion. That’s right, the “Body” singer is playing herself. True to the rapper’s brand, there’s a lot of twerking and tongue thrusting in the short clip.
“It’s a big motherf—king deal they got me on the show,” Megan Thee Stallion says.
“That’s some hot girl s—t right there,” Connie (Maya Rudolph) counters, sticking her tongue out and mimicking the rapper’s signature pose.
Megan Thee Stallion isn’t the only recognizable new addition in this upcoming season. Season 7 will also include guest starring roles from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” star Lupita Nyong’o,...

Jules is a charming and compelling movie that emphasizes the importance of community, especially in later years. Director Marc Turtletaub wanted the alien in the film to be portrayed by a real actor in a costume, rather than using CGI effects, to maintain a focus on interpersonal relationships. The cast of Jules, including Sir Ben Kingsley, was able to deliver emotional and vulnerable performances due to the trust fostered by the director, who allowed the actors to bring their own interpretations to the scenes.
Prepare for an out-of-world reminder of the importance of friendship in Jules. The movie centers on an elderly man living in a quiet Pennsylvania town who is thrust into a tense bond with two nosy neighbors after a UFO crashes in his backyard and brings with it a curious extraterrestrial.

The chaotic adventures of Joker’s psychopathic girlfriend and partner in crime, Harley Quinn are set to come out soon, as the DC animated black comedy superhero show’s Season 4 is marked for a July release.
The last season of ‘Harley Quinn’ began going deeper into her newly branded romantic relationship with Poison Ivy. When the season ended, Harley joined the Bat-Family while Ivy was poised to lead the Legion of Doom. In a funny twist, Batgirl is now the head of the Bat-Family as Bruce Wayne ended up being arrested for tax evasion.
Talking about the upcoming season and Harley’s new heroic role in the show with TVLine, showrunner Justin Halpern said, quoted by Collider: “Things are so binary in the superhero world. Like, there’s a bad guy, there’s a good guy, and the feeling you have to be one of those things. There’s also the idea of,...

In 1982, the same year Sir Ben Kingsley won his Best Actor Oscar for Gandhi, the year’s other big movie was Steven Spielberg’s E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial. Now, 40 years later, Kingsley has found his own E.T., a sort of combination of that classic with a bit of Cocoon, and perhaps The Father. But Jules, the new dramedy having its world premiere on opening night of the Sonoma Film Festival, marches to its own sweet beat, and represents yet another game attempt to bring that older adult audience back to theaters. A smart distributor should take a close look.
Directed by industry veteran producer and director Marc Turtletaub and written by Gavin Steckler, this slight but engaging, even quirky little film, is a crowd-pleaser that presents Kingsley with a role that fits like a glove, and one we haven’t seen him often do, especially with a full head of hair.

Adventure has a name, and it's Rip Digman. Andy Samberg stars in the new Comedy Central animated series "Digman!" beginning on March 22 (watch the trailer here). The former "Saturday Night Live" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star lends his voice to a heroic Indiana Jones-esque archaeologist who was once the best in his field. But following the death of his wife over a decade earlier, not to mention a shocking betrayal by his sidekick, we find Digman washed up, out of shape, and over the hill. Even the national news mocks Digman's shortcomings and fall from grace. Yes, in this world, the news is always reporting on archaeologists as if they're celebrities or superheroes, and they're always taking cheap shots at Digman.
Joined by an eager, bespectacled assistant named Saltine, and encouraged by his elderly, raspy-voiced receptionist Agatha (Dale Soules of "Orange is the New Black"), Digman tries to get his life...

Everyone's favorite globe-trotting, brown jacket-wearing, and ethically dubious archaeologist is returning to the spotlight. That's right: 12 years after being fired by the Smithsonian, Rip Digman is coming out of retirement and eager to prove he's still got what it takes to be a world-class "Archie." To quote the man, the myth, the legend himself in the newly-unveiled "Digman!" trailer, "The only dating I'm interested in ... is carbon dating."

Will Ferrell was, at one point, about as big of a star as one can hope to find in the world of comedy. Following his legendary stint on "Saturday Night Live," the actor had great success in movies such as "Anchorman" and "Step Brothers" in the first decade of the 2000s. But in 2008, Ferrell led an all-star cast that also included the likes of Woody Harrelson, Andre 3000, Will Arnett, and many other famous comedy faces that audiences know and love in a basketball comedy called "Semi-Pro." It was a movie with all the talent in the world which, unfortunately, didn't quite live up to expectations at the time of its release.
While the film topped the box office on its opening weekend back in March of 2008, it topped out at $44 million worldwide against a reported budget of $55 million. Critics also were not terribly kind to the sports comedy at the time.

Mel Brooks is one of the few remaining living legends in pop culture to have survived so many generational shifts. He started as a comedy writer in the earliest days of television, helped shape and transform modern movie humor, and eventually ended up creating a sea change on Broadway as well with an adaptation of "The Producers," one of his first movies. And now, more than seven full decades after he started in TV, Brooks is back on the small screen, as glimpsed in the opening of the Hulu limited series "History of the World, Part II." But true to form, the Brooks we get a glimpse of is a joke in and of itself: it's a very "swole" Brooks (Aka a bodybuilder with a de-aged version of Brooks' face slapped in front of his own visage). It's a microcosm of this sketch series, as shameless and crass and incredibly funny as Brooks' own work.
