A new episode of the Revisited video series has just been released, and with this one we’re looking back at the 2005 video game adaptation Doom (watch it Here) – a movie that didn’t spawn the sort of franchise the game did, but there was a second movie that was released direct-to-video in 2019. Oddly, the title of that movie was Doom: Annihilation, just like the original video game adaptation of Mortal Kombat received a sequel called Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. That’s a story for another time – for now, you can hear all about Doom by checking out the video embedded above.
Directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak from a screenplay that was crafted by David Callaham and Wesley Strick, Doom has the following synopsis: Something has gone wrong at a remote scientific research station on Mars. All research has ceased. Communication has failed. And the messages that do get through are less than comforting.

Why Does Elrond Want to Destroy the Rings of Power in Season 2? Their Grim Future Looms - Main Image
Middle-Earth is seemingly running out of time with the Dark Lord Sauron still on the loose. But why does Herald Elrond want to destroy the rings of power? These were the elves' last hope, after all.
Spoiler Warning: This article contains major spoilers for The Rings of Power season 2, so proceed with caution.
Elrond Saw Darkness in the Rings, Despite the High King's Orders
Galadriel (played by Morfydd Clark) recently unveiled the truth: Halbrand was Sauron's human disguise, which the High King Gil-galad (Benjamin Walker) didn't take lightly.
As a part of their last hope, the High King believes that the three rings would be their last hope in saving the elven kingdom. Eldron (Robert Aramayo), on the other hand, refused to believe that Sauron's creations would help them from their tragic fate.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” is back for Season 2, and this time around there are a number of new characters to keep straight. With Sauron revealed to be Halbrand at the end of Season 1, the chess pieces are now fully in the open and the Dark Lord is masquerading as yet another new character this season in order to try and forge the titular rings. We’ve also got drama with the dwarves, in-fighting amongst the elves and that guy who most definitely is Gandalf is wandering the desert with a harfoot.
Absent in Season 2 is Nazanin Boniadi who played Bronwyn, who exited the show. But new to the cast are Ciaran Hinds, Rory Kinnear and plenty more filling out this prequel series that tackles J.R.R. Tolkien’s Second Age. Check out our complete “Rings of Power” Season 2 cast and character guide below.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power returned on Thursday morning with a thrilling flashback, lots of deception, and a problematic partnership. Let’s recap just the first of the three new episodes, now streaming on Prime Video.
As Season 2 opens, Sauron (played by Charlie Vickers) addresses his hordes at Forodwaith. Adar (Sam Hazeldine, replacing Joseph Mawle), the dastardly Orc who caused so much trouble last season, stands nearby, his expression unreadable. The Orcs bristle at Sauron’s admission that many of them will die in pursuit of “this new, perfect order,” but none move against him. Not yet.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is back on Prime Video for a second season. We visit new locations and meet new characters in the first three episodes, available to stream now. That includes Círdan, a shipwright who is among the oldest elves in Middle-earth.
Círdan is played by English actor Ben Daniels, who you may recognize from his turn as the campy vampire Santiago in AMC's Interview With The Vampire, a role he absolutely crushed. For that reason alone, I'm looking forward to seeing him on The Rings of Power.
Daniels' personal life is also of interest, since it intersects with the star of another big fantasy series. English actor Ian Gelder played Tywin Lannister's younger brother Keven for years on HBO's Game of Thrones. As it ends up, Gelder and Daniels were partners in real life.

Final “The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power” Season 2 Trailer Out Now
Evil reveals itself. Ahead of its premiere, Prime Video has released the final trailer for Season 2 of “The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power.” The big-budget high fantasy series is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s original “Lord of the Rings” trilogy during the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. Per the official Season 2 logline, after being cast out by Galadriel without army or ally, Sauron has returned, and the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power. The second season will reportedly build to the Siege of Eregion, a deadly and definitive battle in Tolkien’s history of the Second Age of Middle-earth that marked the beginning of the War of the Elves and Sauron.

Today, the final trailer for the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power debuted. It reveals Middle-earth in the throes of discord sown by Sauron and the deception and manipulation that led to the crafting of more of the titular Rings of Power.
Unlikely alliances are forged amidst fire, and true friendships are tested. Dangers no longer lurk in shadow but slither their way into the light. Weighty decisions rest on the shoulders of the realms of Eregion, Khazad-dûm, Lindon, Númenor, and the lands in between, as the safety and peace of these kingdoms hang in the balance.
This season features the long-awaited Siege of Eregion, a definitive battle in J.R.R. Tolkien’s history of the Second Age of Middle-earth, from which not everyone makes it out alive. The banners are raised, and the devastating war against Sauron is just beginning.

Just last month, AMC announced that they had ordered a third season of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire – and that with season 3, the show would be moving on to the events of the second novel in Rice’s Vampire Chronicles series, The Vampire Lestat! In this story, Lestat becomes the frontman in a rock band, something that carries over into the events of the third book, The Queen of the Damned. That’s why those books were mashed together for the 2002 film Queen of the Damned, where Lestat’s singing voice was provided by Jonathan Davis of Korn. If you’ve been curious to hear what Lestat’s singing voice will sound like on the Interview with the Vampire TV series, AMC has you covered: they’ve just released Lestat’s first single, “Long Face,” and you can check it out in the embed above.

We've had one extremely nerdy season of "The Rings of Power," yes, but what about a second one? Fans of author J.R.R. Tolkien's foundational fantasy world were spoiled rotten by the Prime Video series and its deep-dive exploration into the furthest era of Middle-earth history we've ever seen adapted: the mythic Second Age. This lengthy period of time encompassed the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the creation of his various Rings of Power, and the first war fought in an attempt to vanquish him -- which didn't quite take, clearly, since Frodo and his buddies would eventually have to do the dirty work themselves and finish the job for good thousands of years later during the events of "The Lord of the Rings." After the first season depicted the beginnings of Sauron's mischief, the next batch of episodes are set to take things even further.

When you’re making a TV show called The Rings of Power, there’s a lot of pressure on whoever has to make and design the actual titular rings. The team working on season two of Amazon Prime’s Lord of the Rings series had another challenge as well. Season one was shot in New Zealand, but production shifted to the UK for season two, and as a result, many of the crew behind the scenes only just joined the project this season, including production designer Kristian Milsted, supervising art director Martin Foley, and set decorator Tina Jones, taking over from season one’s Ramsey Avery, Jules Cook, and Megan Vertelle, respectively.
This means that the various Rings of Power in the show will be designed and made by different people in the real world, but they still need to look like they have been made by the same two...

Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) may have completed his second interview with the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) in Dubai, but the two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist could not resist unraveling the biggest secret that underlied Louis’ strained, 77-year relationship with the vampire Armand (Assad Zaman).
In the season two finale of AMC’s adaptation of Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire, Daniel — with the help of the secret society known as the Talamasca, which investigates and monitors supernatural beings — discovers Armand’s biggest betrayal of Louis. This article contains spoilers for Interview with the Vampire season 2 episode 7 and Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles novels.
Hang a jury. The verdict is in. A conviction sealed. Interview with the Vampire season 2 episode 7 “I Could Not Prevent It” is moving, chilling, and adventurous in ways horror, romance, and television rarely pardon. Curtains rise on the trial for Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Claudia (Delainey Hayles), and Madeleine (Roxane Duran), who broke the Five Immortal Vampire Laws, and the legal procedural dismisses traditional rules of regular programming. Everything is scripted, but feels as off-book as Lestat de Lioncourt’s (Sam Reid) disregard for counseled testimony. The implicit danger of the approach is subtle, undeniable, and unique. There is nothing screening or streaming like it. You should watch it right now (or later on when it eventually arrives to Netflix).
“I Could Not Prevent It” yanks the rug from expectations and accepted truths.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Interview With the Vampire Season 2 Episode 7, “I Could Not Prevent It.” It also contains discussion of domestic violence.] Devastation is the only word to describe Interview With the Vampire Season 2’s penultimate episode. Season 2 Episode 7, an episode book fans have long dreaded and one that any viewer won’t soon forget, saw the Théâtre des Vampires’ horrific show trial play out to its deadly conclusion. The verdict was always rigged, that much was clear, but the very much alive Lestat (Sam Reid) — who was supposedly there to get “justice for the attempted murder of [his] being” — went off script several times to make sure that his and Louis’ “story of love, not butchery” was told. As Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Armand (Assad Zaman) recalled to Daniel (Eric Bogosian) in Dubai, new master Santiago (Ben Daniels) and the coven summoned Lestat to Paris to participate in the show that was clearly rehearsed in ...

Whether you asked for it or not, Prime Video’s epic fantasy series based on The Lord of the Rings appendices by legendary author J.R.R. Tolkien is back with its much-anticipated second season. Created by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, The Rings of Power had a pretty turbulent first season even with its massive budget of $1 billion but still it was one of the most watched shows on Prime Video, so maybe this season the creators of the series will change hearts and minds of frustrated fans.
In Season 2, Sauron has officially returned and after being cast out by Galadriel and without any allies he must rebuild his power through his cunning to oversee the creation of the Rings of Power. His ultimate plan with the rings is to bend the people of Middle-earth to his will. While the Dark Lord is rising our heroes are also getting ready for his eventual attack.

Interview with the Vampire episode 3 “No Pain” codifies the Parisian theatrical troupe with signs of sanguinarian cult devotion, and promises of dire consequences. The closing sequence features the ceremony inducting Claudia (Delainey Hayles) into the repertory players of Théâtre des Vampires. It is a giddy moment, for cast members only, and a celebration of the remorselessly debauched comedy made of the lesser creatures in the audience on a nightly basis.
However, there is a serious side to the randomly violent performance arts which is more about occult knowledge than studying acting methods for realistic portrayals. The induction ritual peaks as lead actor Santiago (Ben Daniels) fixes Claudia with the highest drama of theatrical delivery to impart The Great Laws of the Vampire.

The second episode of “Interview with the Vampire” Season 2 introduced what fans of the Vampire Chronicles have been waiting for when Louis and Claudia finally crossed the threshold of the iconic Theatres des Vampires. The episode, titled “Do You Know What It Means To Be Loved By Death,” began with Louis and Armand co-narrating the memory of their first-ever meeting on the streets of postwar Paris and ended with Louis and Claudia’s quest to find more vampires at an end as not one, not two, but fourteen new vampires enter stage right and take their places in “Interview’s” story.
But who are all of these vampires? Where did they come from? And why are they using projection technology to trick live audiences into watching them drink people for real? These are many questions and in true “Interview” fashion, only some of them have answers.
What is the Theatres des Vampires?...
