Stepping out in support of her jewelry making pal, Olivia Palermo was on-hand for the VIP grand opening of the Thomas Sabo store in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday night (June 4).
The MTV reality star stylishly walked the black carpet upon arriving to the Grand Canal Shoppes fete at the luxurious Venetian Resort & Casino.
While inside, Miss Palermo mingled with store namesake, Thomas Sabo, as well as fellow guests including Luz Enith and Nicky Hilton.
The Sabo outing comes just after Miss Palermo's "The City" co-star Roxy Olin spoke about her castmate's imperious nature.
Miss Olin tells Zap2it of Miss Palermo, "I don't know where her [Olivia's] entitlement came from. I was raised with no matter what job you have, you treat everyone equal. My mom (Patricia Wettig of "Brothers & Sisters") is from Nowheresville and earned every penny, so every penny counts. Olivia acts so privileged. Have you even earned it?...

The regular TV season has come to a close and while some finales have got us talking more than others (like that heartbreaking and awesome "House" ep), we still have a lot to say, so this week, we've selected a few series and will compare their 2010 season ender to their 2009 season ender.
We'll tell you which hour we feel was better, but we'll also have you vote on which one you think was tops.
So, without further ado, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"...
"Zebras" (2009): The case: A mother was murdered in Central Park, and the case is compromised after Stuckey accidentally contaminates evidence.
The characters: Stuckey's careless mistake allowed for the suspect, Harrison, to go free, much to the frustration of the Svu squad. Elliot ripped into him and the devastation Stuckey felt was clear. Bodies, which indicated Harrison as the killer, started turning up, but it wasn't that simple.

On the second part of “Over There”, Olivia and Walter are able to save Peter and prevent him from destroying our world, but at great costs! One member of the Division is left behind!
William Bell is out to stop a war and prevent the destruction of our universe. It appears that his intentions are good. With his help Walter is able to reopen the door into our universe. He is the one that helps the three get back home.
Bell also lets Walter know that he did remove arts of his brain because Walter wanted him to. Apparently Walter did not like the man he was becoming. Maybe he knew he was turning evil, sort of like Walternate. Now it all makes a bit of sense, don’t you think?
Without his memories or keen working brain, Walter is not the man he once was. He is a gibbering fool most of the time,...

The upcoming season finale of Fringe (TV) will bring with it more than just the end of the freaky Fox show's sophomore season. It will also close the book on the 60-year-long acting career of Leonard Nimoy. Nimoy has been playing the recurring role of the enigmatic William Bell, scientist, founder of Massive Dynamic, and a figure seemingly capable of existing in alternates universes. He'll return to the part one last time in the second half of the season capper, "Over There." Of course, Nimoy has retired in the past, only to be convinced by J.J. Abrams to reprise his most famous role, as the pointy-eared, green-blooded, eternally logical Vulcan, Spock, in the recent Star Trek XI: The Beginning (2009) reboot feature. And it was Abrams who personally requested that Nimoy portray Bell. Now, however, Nimoy is ready to live long and prosper without Spock, without Bell, without acting. He'll still...

We have to admit this episode left us a bit confused but wanting more! We are totally crazy about this show and are saddened that there is only one episode left.
On “Over There”, Olivia and Walter are able to cross into the other universe on a mission to find Peter. An Observer gives a piece of paper to Olivia, showing Peter and some strange machine. This triggers Walter’s memory, bringing back the promise he made to never let Peter return to his world.
Why would Walter have to make such a promise? Because apparently Peter going to destroy the world! What? We can’t believe that our universe is going to end because of our adorable Peter! We are literally on the edge of our seats.
So with the help of the Cortexiphan test subjects, Olivia and Walter successfully cross over. In this parallel universe, Martin Luther King Jr....

Since she first made a name for herself at 16, Samantha Morton has been renowned for the intensity and intelligence of her work. Her two latest projects – The Messenger, a drama about the Iraq war, and The Unloved, based on her own deprived childhood, and which she co-wrote and directed – were typically idiosyncratic. What next for this most independent of actresses?
I have arranged to meet Samantha Morton at one o'clock in an east London photographic studio, where, if all is going to plan, she should just be finishing an Observer photoshoot. I turn up to find that she has arrived just minutes before me. Everyone is in a flap, so I repair to the bar next door to wait for her. An hour or so later she breezes in.

Olivia's manager has brushed off Drake's accusations the singer/rapper tricked fans into believing they had collaborated on a new track - insisting her team assumed the producers had been given the green light for the project. Lil Wayne's protege slammed Olivia for using his vocals on a track called "Control", which was leaked online - because he never agreed to work on a duet with the singer.
He said, "I've never worked with Olivia and I apologize to any fan who was duped into thinking that Control was a collaboration of mine." But a representative for Olivia - most famous for her 50 Cent duet, "Candy Shop" - insists her team never tried to pass the song off as a collaborative piece, and believed producers Sold Out Entertainment asked permission to use Drake's rap.

During the set visit, we had a chance to speak with Sam while he was suited up in his Tron costume shooting a scene with Jeff.Garrett talks about his character, the training needed for the role, and just how cool it is to actually be throwing around a disc in the world of Tron.So can you talk about the character that you're playing here? You're Flynn's son and we don’t really know that much more about it.Hedlund: Well it's pretty much, you know, film sort of takes place 20 years after Flynn is has sort of mysteriously disappeared. And starts off kind of with me. Sort of see this kid,...

In our first annual Top 50 Lesbian and Bi Characters poll, we asked you to vote for your favorite characters from film, television, and internet shows.
You cast your votes, and now we have the results. Before we reveal the winners, let's take a look at some of the trends that emerged.
Almost all of the characters were from films and television shows that made their debut after the year 2000. A few of the exceptions include Kerry Weaver from ER, and the ass-kicking ladies from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
While most of the characters were from Us productions, a fair amount came from international shows, including our top two characters (from the UK show Skins).
Also notable was the fact that some of your favorite characters, the leads from Xena: Warrior Princess (which ran from 1995-2001) and Idgie Threadgood from the film Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), were never officially presented as lesbian or bisexual.

You can send any/all of the above to ausielloscoop@ew.com Question: Will anything ever happen between Will and Alicia on The Good Wife? —Stef Ausiello: Maybe. Eventually. Perhaps. Exec producer Robert King explains: " one of the most complicated relationships... because it really is a friendship that doesn't want to lose its friendship by going to the next step. There's an episode that's all about not knowing what a jury is thinking and it's a metaphor for how Alicia and Will can't get into each other's heads.

MoviesOnline sat down with award-winning Scottish actor Ewan McGregor to talk about his new movie, The Ghost Writer, a taut, suspenseful thriller from the Oscar-winning director of The Pianist. The film also stars Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Williams and Kim Catrall.
A gifted author hired to ghostwrite the memoirs of a controversial former British Prime Minister becomes a hunted man when he uncovers explosive secrets about the past. The Ghost (McGregor) senses something’s not right from the minute he gets the lucrative assignment to complete Adam Lang’s (Brosnan) autobiography. For starters, the previous ghostwriter, a longtime aide to the ex-Prime Minister, is dead – an apparent suicide victim. As Lang becomes engulfed in a scandal over his administration’s harsh counterterrorism tactics, The Ghost digs into the charismatic politician’s past, discovering clues that he may be hiding something far more shocking than the current allegations against him.

One thing FlashForward and Lost have in common is actor Dominic Monaghan. Yes, one of the four Hobbits does make a credited appearance in both shows. Maybe Monaghan is considering jumping on the bandwagon for a show that necessarily must fill the gap as Lost enters its sixth and final season. FlashForward does not necessarily strive for the mantle of what has been called the best show on television, but the pretense is there. As Lost winds down, creators Brannon Braga (veteran Star Trek TV writer) and David S. Goyer (best known for penning Batman Begins and The Dark Knight) hope you’ll jump right into FlashForward, embracing the mystery at the heart of the show.
To be fair, it’s a damn good one – FBI Agent Mark Bedford (Joseph Fiennes) wakes up in an overturned car in the middle of a highway. Screams and explosions fill the air. He...

It's been a while since we've heard actor Ewan McGregor ("Trainspotting," "Moulin Rouge!") speak in his native Scottish accent, yet so much remains enigmatically unfamiliar about his nameless character known simply as "The Ghost" in director Roman Polanski's "The Ghost Writer." Adapted by former journalist Robert Harris from his own novel, this fantastically nutty political thriller stars McGregor as an apolitically minded punch-up artist assigned to finish the memoirs of a suddenly disgraced former British Prime Minister (Pierce Brosnan), currently stuck in American exile while awaiting war crime charges for his use of "heightened interrogation" procedures. Like many a Hitchcockian everyman ensnared by conspiracy, McGregor's "Ghost" soon realizes through his own cat-killing curiosities and investigation that he has every right to be paranoid. I met McGregor at the Waldorf Astoria to discuss government corruption, Polanski's eccentric working methods, the longest he's ever felt trapped somewhere, and why he'll likely never read this interview.

So, Dollhouse and Ugly Betty aren’t coming back. Both shows have been canceled and soon their respective casts will be just a bunch of unemployed actors. But before they start making those “Will Emote for Food” signs, how about we help them land their next gigs.
While I’m certain the talented casts of both shows will find gainful employment in no time, it can’t hurt to make a few suggestions. Short of each landing their own new series, many of these fine thespians would make a welcome addition to existing shows. Let’s recast a few.
America Ferrera on 30 Rock
America’s delightful comedy skills, not to mention her experience working in a crazy office, would make her a perfect match to join Liz Lemon. Maybe she could be a new NBC junior executive. Or a writer for The Girlie Show. Or just a new friend for Liz.

It’s billed as a movie, and even has an IMDb page, but this looks like a video-taped stage play, minus the live audience. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. After all, when Lars Von Trier did it with Dogville & Manderlay, we lauded him.
Maybe I’m just out of the loop, but these filmed Christian-themed stage plays seem to becoming all the rage these days, thanks in part to the ease in distribution that DVD and the web provide. I’ve seen quite a few trailers.
This one stars Robin Givens and Clifton Powell, and is directed by Emmbre Perry; notice how the DVD cover to the left emphasizes dude’s last name: Perry, in big bold letters. What do you think that’s about? By the way, they’re brothers.
The story goes… Stacy is a promiscuous 20-something woman who is quick to judge those around...

Welcome to a new edition of Gays of Our Lives. You don’t want to miss the clips from last week’s episodes that I’ve got in Gool Theater, as they are the stuff that good soaps are made of. Meanwhile, As the World Turns introduces snarky Dr. Reid Oliver and a new story arc for Luke and Noah. Does it have potential or is it dead on arrival?
Also, find out if the second episode of Raw is any better than the first and see what happens when Lucas asks Marco what he wants from him on the German version of Good Times, Bad Times.
How was Dr. Reid Oliver’s debut last week?
In Gool Scoops And Spoilers, Kyle and Oliver discover their lives are getting much more complicated by the baby drama on Oltl and Luke learns just how evil his bio-dad Damian can be on As the World Turns.

The last 24 hours have been rough for fans of Spider-Man. Not necessarily because of yesterday's news that Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire have abandoned the ship called Spider-Man 4, but because every blog has been filling its feed since the announcement with one Spidey-related post after another. I'm guilty of it, elsewhere and now here, where I'd like to roundup the best ideas for the future of the franchise, which Sony plans to reboot for a grittier, The Dark Knight-esque series, to begin in 2012.
Earlier today, Steven requested that the next Spidey movie not retell the character's beginning. "There are monks who have lived in silent seclusion for most of post-pubescence who can recite the Spider-Man origin story better than their Psalms," he wrote.
So if the studio is going to continue the franchise with the assumption all moviegoers are familiar with the origin, what direction should it go in?...

Press Tour, the bane of the Television Critics Association members' waistlines, kicks off again with panels on Saturday (Jan. 9) in Pasadena, Calif.
The networks and their dutiful stars come out for the biannual event not only to talk about the upcoming shows, but also to show off their duds (clothes, that is) and do a little publicist-approved partying.
Zap2it will be on hand from morning till late at night to bring you the latest info. Yes, it's a rough life we lead, but there are some perks. Here's a preview of what we're looking forward to for the TCA Winter 2010 Press Tour:
1. "Vampire Diaries" panel and "Bloody Mary" cocktails to follow - It's not up to "Twilight" levels yet, but we wouldn't be surprised if a few enterprising pre-teens crashed the Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley party. Plus, the cocktail session later allows us to mingle with the vamps...

There hasn’t been a serial horror story in quite some time. Probably John Saul’s Blackstone Chronicles is the most recent. But there is a new kid on the block now, Rick Florino’s Dolor, and this ain’t your mama’s serial horror.
Set in the mysterious town of Dolor, the ten-part series will unfold slowly, introducing the reader to Dolor’s various denizens as well as the town itself. Because from the beginning, with "Lila", the reader knows something has gone terribly wrong in Dolor; and as the ten diaries are read by an FBI agent investigating what happened in Dolor, the reader will also discover what happened and who (or what) might be responsible.
Dread Central recently had an opportunity to chat with the creator of Dolor: Lila (review here) and discovered that Rick Florino is something of an enfant terrible and an author people should take note of.

Previously on "FlashForward:" S.P. actually sorta liked an episode, which was extremely short lived.
We open on the lady who gave Demetri the good news about his murder as she watches A Christmas Carol at her desk. At work. Very intensely. Then the camera pans over to her window where she, like NotRalph, brandishes her own mosaic board. Neat.
And speak-of-the-Mongoloid, he and Demetri land in Hong Kong to look for said lady, 'cause as NotRalph astutely surmises, "How many Western Persian-speaking women with that kind of accent can there be in Hong Kong?" I don't know, NotRalph, but it's still fucking Hong Kong.
Then, after a random threat from a Hong Kong agent named Marshall Vogel (who knows what was up his butt), NotRalph enjoys a lovely conversation with Stan who's a titch angry at the boys for disregarding his orders. Then, acting in complete accordance with all human reactions,...

The Messenger
Directed by: Oren Moverman
Cast: Ben Foster, Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton
Running Time: 1 hr 45 min
Rating: R
Release Date: December 4, 2009
Plot: Sergeant Will Montgomery (Foster) and Sergeant Anthony Stone (Harrelson) are the “angels of death” task force charged with notifying army families after a soldier dies in battle. That is the surface plot–the underlying plots involve coping with grief and loneliness, connecting with other human beings, and coming to terms with life-changing trauma.
Who’S It For? Everyone. Anyone who can see an R movie should see this film.
Expectations: I’d not heard of it and I figured it had to be tolerable, because I always expect good things from Woody.
Scorecard (0-10)
Actors:
Ben Foster as Will Montgomery: Who? I thought to myself, going into the film. I looked him up–some movies in production now and…30 Days of Night. So far, not good. But Montgomery is spectacular.

In lieu of bread crumbs, last night’s Thanksgiving-themed Gossip Girl was stuffed with pregnancies, elevator grab-ass, and a really inappropriate onesie. Still, I’m sure the Pilgrims would have enjoyed this Upper East Side feast; there had to be at least a few teen soap fans on the Mayflower. The big entrée was Serena’s relationship with the most boring man in New York, aka Tripp Vanderbilt. I honestly don’t get why Serena would choose this dude over Nate. He’s a snooze and he has Conan O’Brien hair. Also, is it just me or does it...

This week one of our biggest editions of Gays of Our Lives ever includes an interview with One Life to Live head writer Ron Carlivati, responsible for the Kyle/Oliver love story that has had daytime talking and made instant stars out of Brett Claywell, who plays Kyle Lewis, and Scott Evans, who plays Oliver Fish. We talk about the creation of the storyline, how the actors felt when they learned about the plot twist and why Kish has became such a sensation.
Plus, we find out what’s next for Llanview’s gays. Where do Oliver and Kyle go from here? Is Kyle’s ex Nick (Nicholas Rodriguez) out of the picture? And what about that baby that Oliver unknowingly fathered? We cover all of that and more in our interview.

Episode Title: "Of Human Action"
Written By: Glen Whitman & Robert Chiappetta
Synopsis: The Fringe team is called in when two suspicious men seemingly kidnap an innocent child by way of mental persuasion — which, as it turns out, is only partially true. Once Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson) is abducted by the real culprit, his father Walter (John Noble) and Agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) frantically try to find a way to resolve the situation, which may or may not have something to do with Nina Sharp (Blair Brown) and Massive Dynamic. Okay, it obviously has something to do with Massive Dynamic.
Fear of the Mind: The opening sequence and the subsequent convenience store hold-up were two of the scariest scenes I've seen on "Fringe," not due to any special effects, but the absolute dread you feel in knowing what's about to happen to these bystanders. At first, I thought it was...

Alright! Finally, some action took place on this week's episode of FlashForward.
We had been growing a bit frustrated over the pace of the show. Each hour would end on a mysterious, suspenseful note - but when you'd step back and think about what had actually happened, the answer was always: not much.
The conclusion of "The Gift" changed that, however. Follow our link for a full recap and see if you agree with our following review of the episode...
Rip, Al: We had been pushing for Janis to literally bite the bullet a couple weeks ago, excited by the question of how the death of a character that had seen themselves alive in six months would throw the show for an intriguing loop. Looks like she'll make it, but Al isn't coming back from that roof dive. How will the development impact everyone's set belief in the future? We can't wait to find out.

Two shows were out of the mix again last week, Fringe and Dollhouse, both of which will be absent this coming week as well.
Meanwhile, for the shows that did air first-run episodes this past week, the spotlight was on Thursday, which was a bit disappointing for ratings. Fox's airing of the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies dominated the airwaves, garnering a 10.6/17 share, according to Fast National ratings from The Nielsen Co. By comparison, even the reality juggernaut Survivor couldn't compete with America's favorite pastime, returning a 7.1/11 for its Survivor: Samoa iteration.
Both, however, finished well ahead of FlashForward, which is settling back down a bit. The ABC skein earned a 5.7 rating/9 share, matching the all time low it had back on Oct. 15. That's an eight percent drop from the previous week, and nine-and-a-half percent below its season average so far.

I know I said that we had hit a season high a few weeks ago but last night’s episode was totes Besfts. Best. Episode. So. Far. This. Season. And, no, if next week’s episode is better, I won’t keep changing this little slogan of mine. But the Halloween episode of Gg definitely had some really fun moments, not the least of which was the absolutely insane cleavage being rocked by Serena. Holy boob-age. Is it true? —Molly Ausiello: No, but the newlyweds will be dealt a major blow at the end of next week's episode (the best of the season, Imho). In fact, the crisis is so big that Izzie disappears for roughly five non-consecutive episodes. One of the more intriguing premiers last week was new show FlashForward, which features lovely British actress Sonya Walger, whom you might have seen in Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles or Sleeper Cell.
Walger plays Dr. Olivia Benford, who is in the middle of surgery when the pivotal series event, the “flash forward” occurs. Everyone in the world blacks out for two minutes and 17 seconds and sees the future as it will happen on April 29, 2010 at 10 p.m. Chaos ensues.
FlashForward raises interesting questions about how we would live if we knew the future and whether that future can be changed. I agree with scribegrrrl’s assessment that the key to the show’s success will be more emphasis on the apocalyptic and less on the sentimental.
Of particular interest to us, however, is a scene in the promo for Episode 2, which may be the kind of sentiment we love: girl-on-girl.

Unless your memory has been wiped, you know that Starlog has been posting a three-part interview with Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon. The second season debuted just this Friday, and as Whedon winds up this chat, he starts things off by talking about the series’ star Eliza Dushku and how she has helped shape who Echo is as well as who she will become.
“Well, Eliza really wants to dance burlesque. We keep forgetting to put that in,” Whedon jokes. “Eliza has specific things that she’s interested in, specific things she feels comfortable with. Sometimes I like to go to that place because I know that she can knock it out of the park, and sometimes I like to go in the opposite direction to take her out of her comfort zone because that’s the best thing you can do with an actor.”
As fans know, Whedon actually came...

Jackson concluded Part Two of this interview here with some comments about how Fringe, after an inconsistent beginning, found its creative stride. One of the challenges the series faces in its second year is how to please returning viewers while also attracting new fans who will understand and enjoy the show. “We’re just starting the eighth episode for this year, and it’s a mythology-heavy episode,” Jackson notes. “I’d say we’re about 50/50 for episodes that are heavy into the big backstories and the stories that are sort of one-off investigations. The idea is also that regardless of whether it’s a mythology episode or part of the larger story or not, each one of these investigations in every episode will always have a beginning, middle and an end. Even if it’s a heavy mythology episode, you can Still tune in and get a satisfying story as...

As a 34-year-old single entertainment writer who's in denial about the fact that it's probably time for her to sit down and think, for the duration of a commercial break at least, about whether she'd like a shot at having children, I should be Accidentally on Purpose's target audience. Chicago – If any show is going to go from mildly popular to breakout hit in its second season, I expect it will be “Fringe”. Why? Well, every element of the series has improved over the course of the first season and the finale of that initial chapter was such a stunner that it created a buzz that should carry into the second season premiere and beyond. If there’s a new “Lost” or “24” in 2010, don’t be surprised if it’s “Fringe”.

GQ Magazine's October 2009 cover model Olivia Wilde says in an interview with the publication that she tends to compare nowadays sought-after actor Robert Pattinson to a "frog-in-boiling-water", especially when it comes to his popularity. Comparing her own fame to that of the "Twilight" leading actor, the actress explains, "Robert Pattinson jumped in boiling water and has stayed in it, and hopefully will survive."
She goes on stating, "Whereas I entered the water when it was cold, and it's been slowly heating up - a slooooow boil. Maybe I won't realize when it's getting dangerous." Though so, Olivia insists she doesn't envy the British hunk.
In further interview, the 25-year-old beauty also shares a bit about her marriage to husband of more than six years, Italian Prince Tao Ruspoli. She says, "There were times when people thought it would really hurt me. People said I shouldn't be married, or lie about being married,...
