Her father was wholesale dealer Oscar Dellert and her mother Elisabeth
Blomqvist. Her parents divorced in 1936, when she was 11 years
old.
Her mother remarried in 1936 the 15 year younger man Sven Askell. After
a divorce in 1966 she herself in 1968 remarried the 17 year younger man
Nils-Åke Häggbom, who was a ballet-dancer at the Royal Opera in
Stockholm.
