Handsome American leading actor Jack Devereaux born in Massachusetts in
1881. Well-known classical stage performer from the early 1900's.
Sophisticated smart gentleman who starred in at least nine drama and
comedy movies, making his film debut as Bob Nelson in The Sentimental
Lady' directed by Walter Edwin and starring Irene Fenwick for the
George Kleine Film Co in 1915, perhaps his most memorable role as Tom
Burton in the comedy/drama 'The Man Who Made Good' directed by Arthur
Rosson at Fine Arts Film Co in 1917, he was last seen on screen in
'Superstition' co-starring with Veta Searl for the Allan Dwan
Production Co in 1922. He was occasionally billed as John Devereaux.
married stage actress Louise Drew. Died in New York in 1958 age 76.
