After the twisty finale for season two of Silo, Apple TV+ has made it official and tapped Ashley Zukerman and Jessica Henwick to star in the upcoming third season of the popular sci-fi series.
Zukerman, who played Nate on HBO’s Succession, will star as Daniel, a young and hungry congressman, while Iron Fist’s Henwick will play Helen, a whip-smart reporter. Season three of Silo will continue to be showrun by Graham Yost and will see Rebecca Ferguson returning as Juliette, an engineer who has sought answers about a loved one’s murder.
At the end of season two, Juliette returned to the silo amid a flashback to contemporary Washington D.C. that could well have foreshadowed the drama of the upcoming season. Apple TV earlier renewed Silo for two more seasons to allow the show to tell a complete story based on a trilogy of novels by Hugh Howey.

“Silo” is growing its Season 3 cast with the additions of Ashley Zukerman and and Jessica Henwick.
Zukerman (“Succession,” “Fear Street” trilogy) and Henwick (“Huntington,” “The Royal Hotel,” “Glass Onion”) will join the Rebecca Ferguson-led show as series regulars beginning next season, Apple TV+ announced Friday. Sci-fi drama “Silo” is one of Apple TV+’s most-watched series, so it makes sense that it’s coming back for two more seasons. Apple TV+ announced Monday that it has renewed “Silo” for Seasons 3 and 4, with Season 4 wrapping the show up. It will adapt author Hugh Howey’s novel trilogy to completion.
The series, which is currently in the middle of its second season, is set in a dystopian future where the last 10,000 people on Earth live in a mile-deep bunker that protects them from the toxic and deadly world outside. Silo is a very popular American dystopian series that premiered on May 5, 2023, on Apple TV+. It is based on the eponymous sci-fi series written by Hugh Howey. Currently, the series has two seasons, with the second one still airing. The first season aired from May 5, 2023, to June 30, 2023, while the second season premiered on November 15, 2024, and will air until January 17, 2025.
The second season is currently a hit with viewers, and fans have been wondering about the future of the show. There had been some recent rumors that the third season was already being worked on, but until today, we haven’t known the fate of the series.
In light of that fact, we can confirm that Silo has been renewed for both Season 3 and Season 4, which means that the series will be back for two more seasons, but it has – sadly – also been confirmed that the fourth season will also be the series’ final season.

Armed only with a harmonium, Juliette swam through a world lost underwater in the fourth episode of “Silo” Season 2 — and that meant star Rebecca Ferguson spent a lot of time in the water tanks filming that particular episode.
“I dive a lot, when I can,” Ferguson says in a behind-the-scenes video from the day of the shoot. But that doesn’t mean that the day will be made easier. In fact, in many ways it was made even more difficult because Ferguson is playing someone who doesn’t know how to swim; after a lifetime in a bunker, Juliette has never spent this much time underwater.
“We built a set about 15 feet underwater, and we’re having some fun today,” episode director Michael Dinner said. “We built this tank from scratch. It’s like the second biggest water tank in the U.K., and we’ve just made it for this production,...

Every morning at 9 a.m., BAFTA-winning and Emmy-nominated Icelandic composer Atli Örvarsson pads in stockinged feet downstairs to his home recording studio. The man behind the music for the Apple TV+ series “Silo” sits at his mixing desk, surrounded by vintage keyboards stacked in multi-level performance racks, as if waiting for a prog-rock god to breathe life into them. Behind him sits a grand piano, and to his right, a collection of ethnic percussion instruments. But it’s the view in front of him that has profoundly influenced the ethereal, emotionally charged nature of his compositions.
In most studios, the mixing desk faces a window where musicians can be seen preparing to record. In Atli’s home studio, however, the window frames the haunting darkness that cloaks northern Iceland during the long winter months. Come spring and summer, that same window offers views of the sunlit majesty of the fjords and the bay embracing Akureyri,...

The first “Silo” Season 2 trailer promises to build on that jaw-dropping Season 1 cliffhanger with even more surprises, including Steve Zahn as a survivor from another silo.
The tag for the trailer finds Rebecca Ferguson’s Juliette taking refuge in another silo after venturing outside. There, she comes across a fellow survivor played by Steve Zahn, but he may not be so friendly.
Elsewhere Tim Robinson’s “head of It” is trying to quell a simmering rebellion after the entire silo saw Juliette go over the hill instead of dying like everyone else who’s ever left the silo.
“Season 2 is dark. It’s a bonkers exciting season,” Ferguson told TheWrap of the new season. “It is huge, man.”
The actress is under contract for four seasons which would hope to complete the adaptation of Hugh Howey’s book series, but so far “Silo” has only been renewed through Season 2.

Rebecca Ferguson’s Juliette Nichols is out to unravel a web of lies about a toxic and deadly world that threatens the last people living on Earth in the trailer for season two of Apple TV+’s Silo.
The first season of the epic sci-fi series, created by Graham Yost, focused on the last 10,000 people on the planet, trying to stay safe in their titular mile-deep home underneath a desolate world outside. However, no one knew when or why the silo was built, and those who sought answers died.

How do Hollywood creators forge massive universes for their characters? For Ronald D. Moore, executive producer of “For All Mankind” and “Outlander,” it all began with the question: What if the Russians landed on the moon first? From this starting point, “For All Mankind” was born. Moore and his team explored their alternate timeline, weaving cultural, societal, and political shifts with historical events, crafting a rich universe for the Apple+ TV series.
Diving deeper into the intricacies of world-building for Variety’s Sony FYC Showcase, Moore was joined on the “Building a Television Universe” panel by “For All Mankind” co-showrunners and exec producers Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, as well as Maril Davis, who serves as an exec producer on both “For All Mankind” and “Outlander.” Also on the panel: “Justified: City Primeval” co-showrunners and exec producers Michael Dinner and Dave Andron, as well as Sony Pictures TV drama development exec VP Andrew Plotkin.

Warning: Major spoilers for Justified: City Primeval season 1 below!
Justified: City Primeval season 1 adapted Elmore Leonard's crime novel and if season 2 moves forward, it should tackle his classic Western, "3:10 to Yuma". City Primeval adapted Leonard's work by swapping the original protagonist with Raylan Givens, and season 2 could put a modern spin on "3:10 to Yuma" The series ended with a major cliffhanger, implying at least one more story for Raylan, but a second season has yet to be confirmed.
Justified: City Primeval adapted one of Elmore Leonard's most acclaimed crime novels, and if season 2 moves ahead, there's a classic Western by the late author it should tackle. The late, great Leonard saw many of his works adapted, but often with mixed success. For every Out of Sight or Jackie Brown, there was an almighty turkey like 2004's The Big Bounce. One of the best takes on his work came with Justified,...

Justified: City Primeval showrunners tease the Western-like story between Raylan and Boyd in season 2, if it is renewed, suggesting it could be the final chapter for these two characters. The dynamic between Raylan and Boyd, including their complicated relationship and fatherhood, will be key in the new season. The show could explore how Raylan and Boyd have evolved in the last 10 years and what happens when they come together now.
Justified: City Primeval showrunners tease the story between Raylan Givens and Boyd Crowder in season 2, comparing it to a Western. When viewers last caught up with Raylan (Timothy Olyphant), he seemed just about ready to retire and spend time with his daughter Willa (played by Olyphant's real-life daughter Vivian) when he gets a call that Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) has escaped from prison. Given the complicated relationship between the two, it might be the only reason that will convince Givens...

In the closing moments of the Justified: City Primeval finale, we catch up with none other than Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins), who is able to escape from prison after faking an illness and seducing a guard.
