The Man from Snowy River receives a mostly glowing review from two stunt performers. Based on the Banjo Paterson poem of the same name, the 1982 Australian Western follows a young man who, after the death of his father, sets out to become his own man by taking a job with a horse rancher, earns the love of his daughter, and fights to clear his name after being wrongly blamed for losing an expensive horse. The movie stars Kirk Douglas, Jack Thompson, Tom Burlinson, Sigrid Thornton, Terence Donovan, Chris Haywood, and Lorraine Bayly.
On the latest episode of Corridor Crew's "Stuntmen React" series, host Niko Pueringer was joined by stunt performers Gui DaSilva-Greene and Anis Cheurfa to breakdown action scenes in movies, including a horse stunt in The Man from Snowy River. Watch the portion of the video below:

Camerimage Film Festival, which is devoted to the art of cinematography, is to pay tribute to Peter Biziou. The British cinematographer, who won an Oscar for “Mississippi Burning,” and was BAFTA nominated for “The Truman Show,” will receive the festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Biziou, the son of cinematographer-animator Leon Bijou, started his career at an animation company in London. In the mid-sixties, he started to light film sets for commercials and shorts, which helped foster “his innate intuition and his courage to implement innovation,” the festival said. He worked with the likes of Len Fulford, Bob Brooks, Terence Donovan, John Swannell and Frank Budgen.
His work with fashion photographer Robert Freeman brought an invitation for Biziou to be in charge of the visuals on Freeman’s fiction film debut, 1969’s “Secret World,” starring Jacqueline Bisset, which was well-received.
He then worked on Alan Parker’s “Bugsy Malone” (1976), Terry Jones...

Having appeared in everything from EastEnders to Mission: Impossible, the versatile character actor is also famous for being nice and he’s ready to spill the beans
British actors don’t come more versatile than Eddie Marsan. You may remember him from when he played a henchman opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible III, the Sherlock-consulting Inspector with Robert Downey Jr in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, or as one of Simon Pegg’s last surviving pub-crawlers in The World’s End.
On TV, Marsan moved up through The Bill, Casualty, EastEnders, to older brother Terry Donovan in all seven series of Ray Donovan. In April, he starred in The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe, about the man who infamously reappeared five and a half years after he faked his own death in a canoeing accident.

American Idol was announced to be coming to an end after 15 seasons yesterday (May 12), but did you know that Ryan Seacrest used to have a co-host?
Brian Dunkleman hosted the Fox competition's first season alongside Ryan Seacrest, before the latter took sole control. History has not been kind to poor old Brian since, with Fox TV CEO Dana Walden joking about a possible reunion for the pair.
"Where is Brian Dunkleman? If you give me his number, I will call and invite him," she joked, though Dunkleman gave as good as he got last night:
I knew American Idol would never last without me #Cancelled
— brian dunkleman (@briandunkleman) May 11, 2015
To honour Dunkleman, we have collected a few hosts of massive shows that you may have cruelly forgotten, starting with the man himself.

When a Cockney shopgirl befriends a beautiful Somali refugee in an upscale dress shop’s loo, neither is prepared for what lies ahead.
The taboo subject of female circumcision (otherwise known as female genital mutilation or cutting) is artfully revealed in “Desert Flower,” written and directed by Sherry Horman (“Guys and Balls”). Fgm is a far-reaching, ancient rite of passage that is believed to protect virginity and elevate very young girls to sainted womanhood. Though this seldom-discussed practice is condemned by the World Health Organization and the United Nations, it continues to this day in certain areas of Asia, Northeastern Africa, Australia and South America.

Jason Donovan's mother has slammed her "cruel" son. Sue McIntosh, who split from the TV star's father Terence Donovan nearly 40 years ago, said that she was "appalled" by his autobiography Between The Lines: My Story Uncut and blames it for tearing her family apart. She told Woman's Day magazine: "Jason and I haven't spoken for three years - not since his visit to Australia in 2007 to publicise his autobiography. Nor was I invited to his wedding. "I'm thrilled to bits for [Jason and wife Angela] (more)...

Craig here with Take Three. Today: Terence Stamp
Terence Stamp photographed by Terence Donovan, 1967
Take One: A family of Stamp collectors
Announced only as "The Stranger", Stamp waltzed into the home and lives of Teorema’s (Theorem/1968) wealthy Italian family like a bolt from the blue: in turn he sexed them all up good and proper, irrespective of gender, or even order, then left them reeling and the audience flummoxed. Everyone – on screen and off – was seduced by this perplexing guest. He left us all gagging for more. It was that naughty old Pier Paolo Pasolini’s fault. He dashed off his own personal spectator theory with the zestiest, most carefree and open abandon. Stamp’s stranger, most folk presume, is a Christ figure, a sexy Jesus substitute in the shape of a ‘60s heartthrob. The controversy of the film was aroused by this contentious quirk more than the frank and playful sexuality on display.

The last few days have offered a rarely-seen glimpse into the development process of Rockstar Games, known for their hugely successful "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. Last week, some of the wives of staff members at Rockstar San Diego, the team responsible for "Midnight Club: Los Angeles," banded together to write a letter about some of the less-than-ideal work conditions experienced at the studio.
The letter opened the floodgates, with anonymous members of the Rockstar San Diego team coming forward to talk about the trials faced. Joystiq spoke to one such member, who mentioned that future "Midnight Club" plans had been shelved after much of the company was laid off, with other major team members quitting.
Perhaps most interesting, the source spoke about the tenuous relationship between Rockstar New York (the developer's headquarters) and its development studios, saying "Anyone from the New York office is feared, because people in the San...
