In addition to producing, Rudolph and Lyonne will lend their voices to the series, which also stars Keke Palmer (Human Resources), Greta Lee (Russian Doll), Kieran Culkin (Succession), and Sam Smith (Pitch Perfect 2). The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The Hospital follows alien best friends Dr. Sleech (Lee) and Dr. Klak (Palmer), two intergalactically renowned surgeons who must navigate anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs. Together, they risk their careers to take on a remarkable case, one that might put existence itself in jeopardy. Lyonne will voice Nurse Tup, a playful nihilist with chameleon flesh who thrives in the chaos of the Hospital, while Rudolph plays Dr.

The series was originally reported as being in development at the streamer in early 2020. Maya Rudolph and Natasha Lyonne are part of the voice cast and will also executive produce under their Animal Pictures banner. Keke Palmer, Greta Lee, Kieran Culkin, and Sam Smith will also voice characters on the show.

“The Hospital” hails from Cirocco Dunlap, whose past credits include “Russian Doll,” “Big Mouth,” and “Miracle Workers.” The show follows Sleech and Klak—aliens, best friends, and intergalactically renowned surgeons—as they tackle anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs. Disney+ has given us another look at the upcoming “Big Hero 6” spinoff animated series “Baymax!”

In the latest trailer for the series, which you can watch above, Hiro (Ryan Potter) wakes up to realize that his friendly robot is nowhere to be found. It turns out, Baymax (Scott Adsit) is roaming the city of San Fransokyo trying to help others.

As a medical companion robot, Baymax often seeks out people (and creatures) who have physical ailments, like a woman who sprains her ankle and another who hurts her back. He also tries to save a cat, which doesn’t go as planned when he tells the animal to “remain calm” and instead it pokes several holes in his body.

But, he soon learns that some of their problems go much deeper than the surface. “I guess a hero’s job is never done,” Hiro says.

The annual awards, which honor the best in film, TV, and radio writing, were handed out at dual ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles.

Both “Parasite” and “Jojo Rabbit” are in the running for Oscars in their respective categories.

Writers of The Crown, Succession and Watchmen are among the television nominees for this year’s Writers Guild Awards, unveiled on Thursday (5) by the East and West branches of the Writers Guild of America (WGA).

Joining the three projects in the list of drama series nominees are writers of The Handmaid’s Tale and Mindhunter. Nominees in the WGA’s new series category include PEN15, Russian Doll and Watchmen.

In the original long form category, nominees include the writers of Chernobyl and True Detective and the adapted long form category includes Fosse/Verdon and Unbelievable.

Writers Guild of America West and Writers Guild of America, East have announced nominations for outstanding achievement in television, with Netflix’s The Crown, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, Netflix’s Mindhunter and HBO’s Succession and Watchmen competing for the top drama trophy.

The outstanding comedy nominees are HBO’s Barry, Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Hulu’s PEN15, Netflix’s Russian Doll and HBO’s Veep.

Best new series nominees are PEN15, Russian Doll, Watchmen, Netflix’s Dead To Me and FX’s What We Do In The Shadows.
