Character actor, trained at the Reicherschen Hochschule für dramatische Kunst in 1918 and subsequently engaged on various Berliner stages, including a long residency at the Staatstheater from 1924 to 1945. Dunskus acted in support in many Ufa productions of the 1930's and 40's. After the war, he became a sought-after voice actor for motion picture dubbing and radio drama.

The actor Erich Dunskus finished a commercial education before he went to an acting school in Berlin.

Besides his activity as an actor he dubbed foreign stars in over hundred movies.

When the sound film arose the film became an important factor in his career. Till the end of war in 1945 he took part in countless movies in which he impersonated support roles with his impressive acting abilities.

His theater career began after World War I and the engagements led him from Eisenach via Bonn and Zurich to Berlin..
