(2009) Twin sister's Tapur Chatterjee and Tupur Chatterjee were to debut in Big Picture's untitled film on reincarnation. Tapur and Tupur are the granddaughter's or director Hrishikesh Mukherjee.The project was directed by J.P Dutta. They were signed opposite Ustad Amjad Ali Khan's son's Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash. The project also starred Sagarika Ghatge. Tapur and Tupur were later replaced by twins Alina and Sana Wadiwala. The film was called off for unknown reason's in 2012.

(2008) Sikander Kher was to star opposite Nidhi Dutta in Big Reliance Picture's untitled film. The project was to be directed by J.P. Dutta. The film was called off for unknown reason's.

(2014) (2014) J.P. Dutta's daughter Nidhi Dutta was to debut as a actress in her father's home production, J.P. Gene's "Jee Bhar Ke Jee Le". J.P. Dutta launched his new banner which was to be directed at making youthful films. The project was to star Nidhi Dutta,Ajit Sodhi ( Son of Nafisa Ali),Taaha Shah, Saagarika Ghatge,Diganth Manchale,Sabina, Cinematography by Yogesh Jani (Brother of Nirmal Jani),Music by Sangeeth Siddharth, Produced by J.P. Dutta, Directed by Binoy Gandhi. The film was 35 per cent complete, was to be shot in Goa, Hampi and Romania with the Mumbai schedule almost complete. Basically a road trip film. The project was called off for unknown reasons.

(1990) Was directing the shelved film,Pushpa Movies "Padosi". Starring Vinod Khanna,Anil Kapoor, Music by Laxmikant Pyarelal, Produced by Sunder Das Sonikya,Directed by J.P. Dutta.

(1989) Was directing the shelved film "Bandhua" (1989) Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Waheeda Rehman, Naseeruddin Shah,Pooja Bedi ( replaced Shilpa Shirodkar), Produced H.A.Nadiadwala, Directed by J.P. Dutta.

(1988) Vinod Khanna was signed for J.P.Dutta's Jhelum. After the announcement it was canceled. Then in 1993 Sunny Deol was signed for the film "Jhelum". Due for unknown reason's Dutta shelved the film. He revived it again with Akhaye Khanna in 1995. Once he put it on the backburner . After Border, J.P. Dutta announced Jhelum. It was to star Sanjay Dutt & Raveena Tandon . The film once again was jyxed. Sunil Shetty was signed in the film in 2000 but got shelved it again.

(1993) J.P. Dutta was directing the shelved film, Pushpa Movies "Choodiyan". Starring Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit,Raveena Tandon, Dialogue by O.P. Dutta, Cinematography by Nirmal Jani, Action by Bhiku Verma, Editing by Deepak Wirkud, Lyrics by Sameer, Music by Anand Milind, Produced by Sunderdas Sonkiya, Written and Directed by J.P.Dutta. When the film was shelved, they sold the song they had shot for the film "Sherry Maain Ban Gaya Deewana" to the movie Vijeta starring Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon. In 1996, J.P. Dutta revived the film with a new producer and launched Naveen Films "Choodiyan" with Bobby Deol, Tabu Mamta Kulkarni,Anupam Kher. It was shelved once again.
