The film’s logline reads as follows, “Horrified by the new girlfriends of their respective sons, three sisters-in-law – Clara (Consuelo Duval), a socialite, Matis (Mónica Huarte), a widowed professional, and Nena (del Castillo), a naive housewife – make an alliance to get rid of their undesirable daughters-in-law. It’s for their own good.”

The Walt Disney Company Latin America team took to the stage at the 2nd Iberseries & Platino Industria event in Madrid to unveil trailers or clips of their upcoming Star+ slate that includes “Nada,” with Robert de Niro playing a key role, “Ringo, el Campeon del Pueblo,” “Pancho Villa, El Centauro del Norte” and “How to Be a Carioca,” directed by “Rio” and “Ferdinand the Bull” director Carlos Saldanha.

The premiere of Univision’s ¿Quién Es la Máscara? (The Masked Singer) raked in an average of 1.4 million viewers in its 2 1/2-hour debut Sunday. The premiere tied for second overall for the night among the Big 4 networks and the CW in the adults 18-49 demographic, which peaked in the 9 p.m. hour with a 0.4 rating.
The show, which ran from 8-10:30 p.m., is hosted by Omar Chaparro, with Yuri, Carlos Rivera, Consuelo Duval and Adrián Uribe serving as panelists. The singing competition debuted as part of the Spanish-language network’s Domingos en Familia (Family Sundays) block and helped the network beat Fox and the CW overall in viewers for the night.
Univision also finished as Sunday’s top Spanish-language network in all metrics.

A Mexican version of “The Masked Singer” is coming to Univision this August, the Spanish-language broadcast network announced Friday.
Hosted by Omar Chaparro, “¿Quién es la Máscara?” (The Masked Singer) will “capture the audience’s hearts as it introduces 16 celebrities who will have to sing in creative costumes,” according to Univision. “Led by assorted clues, the ‘investigators’ will seek to guess what celebrity is hiding behind each mask. Among the famous participants there will be singers, actors, TV hosts and others playing the roles of characters, such as: Bumblebee, Eagle, Chameleon, Catrina or Fancy Skeleton, Zebra, Deer, Rabbit, Rooster, Cat, Owl, Martian, Minotaur, Monster, Panda, Fish and Fox.”
