- Quotes[on working with Roman Polanski for the first time] There was a phone call as I was preparing to go on holiday with my family, and he asked if I wanted to make The Pianist (2002) with him. It was like lightning out of a clear sky, but much more pleasant! He was a mythical director to me. I could hardly believe he was calling me to work with him. It must have been Andrzej Wajda, with whom I have worked a lot, who recommended me to him and gave him my phone number. Then we met in Berlin and we spoke, for almost the entire time, about the visual style of "The Pianist".
- TrademarkFrequently worked with Andrzej Wajda and Roman Polanski.
