- Her big role, having little but very important time on screen, was of an undercover FBI Memory Expert pretending to be the wife of undercover convict Edmond O'Brien in the James Cagney classic, White Heat.
- Played the lead female role in five Republic Pictures serials from 1950 to 1954. She continued to act sporadically in films and on television until 1979.
- Aline Towne died on the same day-- Groundhog Day 1996-- as Gene Kelly. Nearly twenty years earlier, Kelly had directed Towne in "A Guide for the Married Man" (1967), in which Towne had played the role of 'Mousey Man's Wife'.
