- Saundra Edwards had two children with her first husband, Lorin Kopp: Camille (born March 30, 1956) and Steven John (born April 18, 1959). Steven was adopted by Tom Gilson, Saundra's second husband.
It has been said that Saundra's career ended abruptly due to the controversy surrounding Tom Gilson's death but that was not the cause of her career ending.
Her Warner Bros career ended after Tom's death. She was offered a six (6) movie deal that would have been much more lucrative then being a contract player for Warner Brothers. However, she turned down the deal because the studio wanted her to put her children in boarding schools and she would not do that. She walked away from Hollywood.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Steven Gilson

- Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the March 1957 issue.
- Put under contract to Warner Brothers after her Playboy pictorial appearance, starlet Saundra was brought along slowly and appeared in various Warner movie and TV productions. Oddly, in her first extended speaking part, Holiday at Hollow Rock (1958), Warners showed a lack of confidence in her voice and used fellow contract player Adele Mara to dub her dialogue. Later screen appearances showed that Saundra actually had a pleasant voice.
- She and her husband Tom Gilson, can be seen in one movie, The Crowded Sky (1960), in one quick scene where he's a passenger and she's a flight attendant.
- Separated from her husband of eight months, Tom Gilson, and moved with their eight-month-old son Thomas to her sister and brother-in-law's house in Van Nuys, CA.
- She acted in The Crowded Sky and afterwards, before her career ended after her husband's shooting/death, she appeared in 77 Sunset Strip starring Efram Zimbalist Jr. and the movie Parrish starring Troy Donahue, who are both in The Crowded Sky (1960).
