While there is a new Suits spinoff coming, one of the cast members of the original series just picked up a new TV role of his own. Patrick J. Adams, who starred as Mike Ross on the law-based TV show, has signed on to appear in the Fox anthology crime series Accused.

According to a new report from the glamour.com news team and a couple of other news outlets, one of the former ladies of ABC's hit drama series, "Grey's Anatomy" revealed that she isn't opposed to the idea of returning to the show even though she did leave of her own volition last year. Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes is speaking out about the latest cast departure.

Following Thursday's emotional season 13 finale, Rhimes revealed why series regular Jerrika Hinton -- who has played Dr. Stephanie Edwards since the veteran medical drama's ninth season -- said goodbye for good.

On Thursday’s season 13 finale, titled “Ring of Fire,” the aftermath of last week’s shocking explosion left many fans wondering about the fate of Dr. Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton), who was thrown from the blast after attempting to stop it from happening in the first place.

Though Stephanie miraculously survived, the harrowing experience she went through afterward -- saving the young girl, Erin, from losing her leg and keeping them both safe from the fire -- was traumatic enough to set her on a new path and say goodbye to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. As a result, Thursday’s finale marked Hinton’s final episode as a series regular on Grey’s.

At the end of Thursday’s episode, titled “True Colors,” Dr. Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) found herself in harm’s way with a patient, Keith, whom she wrongly assumed was worried about another victim’s well-being following a horrific car accident. When she realized that he was attempting to rape the female victim, it was already too late.

With Grey Sloan Memorial on lockdown as the docs feverishly searched for Keith, he held Stephanie hostage with a scalpel by the neck, seeking a way out of the hospital without getting caught. His attempt at successfully escaping was all for naught, though, as the lockdown forced him, Stephanie and a young girl, Erin (Darby Camp), to remain stuck in a hospital corridor.

The family adopted Ashley, an American-born Somalian refugee, when her mother died and her father was deported.

Variety’s “Actors on Actors” on PBS was awarded the Emmy Award for best entertainment programming at the Television Academy’s 68th Los Angeles area Emmy Awards.

This is the second win in two years for the interview series, which features pairings of prominent actors discussing their craft. “Actors on Actors” was produced by PBS SoCal in partnership with Variety Media, LLC.

Recurring stars Camilla Luddington (Jo Wilson), Gaius Charles (Shane Ross), Jerrika Hinton (Stephanie Edwards) and Tessa Ferrer (Leah Murphy) have all been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming tenth season of the Shonda Rhimes medical drama, ABC has confirmed to HuffPost TV.

All four actors joined the series at the start of Season 9, as did Tina Majorino, who recurred as Heather Brooks on "Grey's Anatomy." Majorino -- who joined the "Veronica Mars" movie this week, reprising her role as Mac -- is signed on as a series regular for TNT's "Legends," starring "Game of Thrones" alum Sean Bean, which will debut in 2014.
