For this month’s installment of “TV Terrors” we revisit the horror-comedy sitcom “Holliston,” which aired for two seasons on the now-defunct FEARnet in 2012 and 2013.

Adam Green and Joe Lynch are two filmmakers and genuine horror fans who have given their fellow horror fans so much over the years, including some great movies like Mayhem, the Hatchet franchise, and Frozen, as well as the upcoming Suitable Flesh. Among their many contributions to the genre was their horror sitcom, “Holliston.”

The best way to describe the series for the uninitiated would be if “Spaced” had a head on collision with “Friends” and was re-attached into a weird, funny monster. Originally premiering as the first original series on the now defunct FEARnet in 2012, “Holliston” is set in the small town of Holliston, Massachusetts, and stars Adam Green as “Adam” and Joe Lynch as “Joe.” Both stars play fictional versions of themselves that are best friends and roommates.

Show creator and star Adam Green talked about his love for the "Holliston" series. "It's my favorite thing I've ever done," Green said. "It's my best work to date, and I think a lot of the people involved in the show would say the same thing. If you like Season 1, I think Season 2 really blows it away. I think with any sitcom the second season is usually considered to be funnier and better than the first, mainly because you know the characters, you know the world, you know the tone. And...

I don’t have the world’s greatest relationship with Holliston. I remember reading about it, prior to the airing of season one, and being excited. Then I remember the disappointment I experienced when finally having the ability to watch it, seeing as Fearnet has a pretty limited reach, as far as availability goes. All of the elements were there, but it just didn’t click with me. One of the main problems I had, was that for the type of show that it was, it was way too long. Shows that feature the sitcom format should never go on for any longer than thirty minutes. By the forty minute mark, the novelty has worn off, and some viewers are beyond ready for the episode to end. That’s not to say that there wasn’t some entertaining moments, it’s just that whatever momentum it created, was ruined by the excessively long running time.

Fans who attended Rock and Shock 2013 all got another killer weekend. There was just one unsettling occurrence we can't shake. When asked if he had gotten word about Season 3 of "Holliston" at a standing room only panel presentation, creator Adam Green said he hadn't.

"You've been great! We've been Dyver Down! Good night!" The classic line screamed by Lance Rockett in each episode of "Holliston" has become one of the catch phrases of the show, and now we're going to get our first look at the band during a first-ever "Holliston" marathon.

On August 5, FEARnet, the home channel of "Holliston", is going to present a "Holliston" marathon, and during the all-day event you'll get a look at the video for Rockett's band, Dyver Down's, original song "Love It Down Your Throat." Rockett is, of course, played by Dee Snider. This is all to prepare fans for the "Holliston" Season 2 finale on August 6.

Samantha "Sam" works at a crisis hotline where she listens to strangers and helps them deal with their pain. It's a pain she knows well since the hot-line saved her life once when she lost her sight and didn't know how to live in a world of darkness. On her last night on the job, Sam receives an terrifying visit from one of her regular callers who feels betrayed that she's leaving him. This man is no ordinary caller. He's a sadistic serial killer she's unknowingly been keeping from killing himself for over a year. With only a skeleton on the graveyard shift, there's very little that stands between him and Sam.

We told you about the new flick from Jason Cuadrado, Devil May Call, starring Corri English, Tyler Mane and Traci Lords, awhile ago; but talk is indeed cheap! Now it's time to show off some eye candy! Dig on over a dozen stills and the official one-sheet!

We've received word about a new horror film that is wrapping entitled Devil May Call, a thriller starring Tyler Mane, Corri English and Traci Lords - all genre vets at this point.

The film is written by Jason Cuadrado and Wyatt Doyle and is directed by Jason Cuadrado (Tales from the Dead) and, inside, you can find a large version of the official poster.  A trailer is due out soon.

Corri English is further cementing her status as a "scream queen" with the upcoming horror thriller Devil May Call. English will play Sam, a woman who works at the suicide call center that one saved her life, when she became blind. On her last night there, a regular caller, who feels Sam betrayed him by leaving, has come to show her his displeasure. Oh, and he is a sadistic serial killer, and Sam has been preventing him from killing himself for over a year. So, you know, this probably won't end well. The film also stars Tyler Mane and Traci Lords.

Corri stars in FEARnet's own original series, Holliston, which returns to FEARnet for its second, blood-splattered season this summer.

Variety reports that Esperanza Films and Thai company Angel Bear Prods. are teaming to produce and finance a slate of films for 2013, starting with horror thriller Devil May Call.

The film, currently shooting in Los Angeles, is directed by Jason Cuadrado from his own script with Corri English, Tyler Mane and Traci Lords starring. Devil May Call centers around a young blind woman who works at a suicide hotline.

Here's a fun Halloween short from writer/director Adam Green (Hatchet, Frozen) called The Tiffany Problem. It's a dark comedy made back in 2007 and it stars Joel David Moore (Hatchet, Dodgeball, Avatar), Corri English (Bedford Diaries), and Zachary Levi (Chuck).

The story follows a 30-year-old guy looking to go trick-r-treating with his friends while his wife stays home sick. She gets pissed off for going out, and he doesn't understand why she's trying to ruin his plans.

Adam Green, Joe Lynch, Corri English, Laura Ortiz and Oderus Urungus were amazing as the "Holliston" (Blu-ray / DVD review) panel brought the house down with a hilarious presentation at Rock and Shock on Saturday night, October 13, in Worcester, Ma.

Complete with a live script reading that included appearances by Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Derek Mears and Tony Todd as well as two lucky audience members, the "Holliston" panel received a standing ovation from the packed audience. Check out the video of the event below.
