Peter Englund is a Swedish author and historian. He holds a PhD in
history from Uppsala University and is the author of many best-selling
historical books. Englund is also the youngest member of the Swedish
Academy. The Academy awards the Nobel Prize in Literature every year.
Englund has in recent years taken an interest in writing drama for film
and television. He is currently also a professor at Dramatiska
institutet - The University College of Film, Radio, Television and
Theatre in Stockholm. Englund still lives in Uppsala and is the father
of three children.
