- Evans and 11 other actresses (out of 300) won a two-day beauty contest sponsored by Paramount Pictures in March, 1932. The celebrity judges were actress Carole Lombard, costume designer Travis Banton and director William C. de Mille. The prize for all winners was apparently an uncredited group cast appearance in Sinners in the Sun (1932).
- Lovely, innocent-eyed blonde American leading lady best known for her "prairie flower" roles opposite such sagebrush stars as William Boyd ("Hopalong Cassidy"), Buck Jones and an early John Wayne in a host of minor '30s westerns.
