Michael Gandolfini has spoken about whether he’d be open to returning as a young Tony Soprano in a potential prequel series. The son of the late James Gandolfini, who portrayed the iconic mob boss in The Sopranos, addressed the speculation in a recent interview.
When asked if he’d consider stepping back into the role, Michael made it clear that the decision isn’t up to him. “Look, it’s David’s universe,” he said, referring to the show’s creator, David Chase. “It’s up to David, ultimately. I know that David’s working on some other things, not Sopranos-related, which would be exciting.”
While he’d love to collaborate with Chase again, Michael doesn’t see Tony making a return. “I think Tony’s probably set to rest now for good, but who knows, who knows — but my guess would be, that character [has] now closed the book on that,...

Apple TV+ is assembling quite the cast for its upcoming Cape Fear series, as Patrick Wilson is set to join Javier Bardem and Amy Adams.
Wilson will play Tom Bowden, an attorney married to Anna (Adams), a fellow lawyer. Based on the 1957 novel The Executioners by John D. MacDonald, Cape Fear “will follow what unfolds after killer Max Cady (Bardem) is released from prison and seeks out the Bowdens, whom he blames for his sentence.” The 10-episode series has been described as a tense, Hitchcockian thriller which will serve as an examination of America’s obsession with true crime in the 21st century.
Nick Antosca is writing the new Cape Fear series and will also executive produce alongside Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, Alex Hedlund, Darryl Frank, and Justin Falvey. The original novel was first adapted in 1962 into a movie starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum. In...

Rdj’s Unexpected Acting Partner! (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Robert Downey Jr. has worked with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. From the Avengers cast to his Sherlock Holmes co-stars, he’s shared the screen with some legends. But guess what? There’s only one actor he never wants to do another movie without. And no, it’s not Chris Evans or Jude Law.
You’d think it’d be one of his close Marvel buddies, right? Maybe even someone he’s had iconic on-screen chemistry with. But no! Rdj’s ride-or-die pick is Vincent D’Onofrio. Yes, Kingpin himself. The crazy part? They didn’t even share a scene in the MCU.
So, how did Downey Jr. end up vowing cinematic loyalty to D’Onofrio? It all started with a little courtroom drama called The Judge. And apparently, one film was enough for Rdj to declare a lifelong acting partnership.

Connecticut is one of the smallest, and more anonymous, of the 50 American states. With New York to the west of us and Boston to the east, the Nutmeg State has an unavoidable vibe of being stuck between two actually interesting places. I'm a lifelong Connecticuter, but I can't say we share the same fervor of statewide pride as, say, Texas does.
If we have a statewide reputation, it's for being a (new) haven of rich, sleepy suburbs — so no surprise that many of your favorite actors have settled in Connecticut. We gave Hollywood Katharine Hepburn, Robert Mitchum, Meg Ryan, Paul Giamatti, Seth MacFarlane, and many more. Plus, the stereotypes of the state make it a favorite for dramas and/or comedies (often both in one film) tackling suburban ennui. There's no real town named Stars Hollow, but "Gilmore Girls" gets the Nutmeg mood right.

The horror genre is well-regarded in cinema as the closest thing to a guaranteed money-maker there is, at least where non-ip is concerned. Horror movies in general have a built-in fan base who are always willing (if not eager) to go check out the latest supernatural thriller, throwback slasher, zombie flick, or whatever other scares are in store. However, one of the other staples of the genre is its thriftiness — you don't need a huge budget to make an effective and successful horror movie, and that in turn makes it more possible for the movie to be successful at the box office. Although most horror movies turn a healthy profit, you don't tend to see too many reaching the same lofty financial heights as the average multi-million dollar blockbuster.
The closest horror movies come to earning billions of dollars is when they're part of a successful franchise, and sometimes not even then.

Source Code's mind-bending storyline begins under the illusion of leaning on one specific sci-fi trope, but it ultimately turns out to be something entirely different, which can make its ending pretty confusing even though it's brilliantly executed. While it could be argued to be one of those confusing movies that only make sense right at the end, Source Code falls into a different category, as it prioritizes action under a placeholder explanation. It stands out from many other Jake Gyllenhaal movies for several reasons, but its most appealing aspect is the shocking revelation in its final moments.
Source Code's creative spin on time loop movies all starts with Jake Gyllenhaal's Captain Colter Stevens not knowing he's essentially dead, with his remains being preserved by the military as they experiment with an advanced program that they believe to be a repeatable simulation. It's always interesting to see popular TV actors getting movie roles, but these roles don't always work out. There are countless cases of actors whose best work is on TV being mishandled when they get a chance on the big-screen. Some of the best TV actors of all time have been unable to replicate their success in movies. Often, this is because movies don't provide them with the kinds of roles that let them shine.
In the streaming era, TV shows and movies are starting to become more similar in some ways. This means that many great TV actors can easily transition to movies, and vice versa, but this isn't always so simple. Popular TV actors can come under increased scrutiny when they get major movie roles, simply because it's a change of pace for them that promises something different. This is why fans can feel so let down when...

“Survive till ’25” has been the mantra of the movie theater business — heck, the entire film industry — ever since pandemic-related delays and Hollywood’s labor strikes wreaked havoc on studio slates and production calendars. Several would-be 2024 blockbusters, like Tom Cruise’s eighth “Mission Impossible” and Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World,” were pushed into this calendar year instead, providing 2025 with a profusion of movies that everyone hopes will claw the box office back to something approaching its pre-covid glory.

The Conjuring series star Madison Wolfe has offered an emotional response to the fourth movie, The Conjuring: Last Rites, being the end of the $321 million franchise. Denzel Washington is one of the most celebrated actors of his generation. He has been acting for decades, and has been nominated for multiple Oscars along the way, including winning awards for Glory and Training Day. Contributing his talents to movies like Fences and Malcolm X, Washington's career is characterized by powerful drama. He recently set a career achievement through Gladiator II, as the movie became the highest-grossing within his filmography. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his work in Gladiator II, for playing Macrinus.
Ryan Reynolds is, in some ways, a very different actor than Washington. He is primarily known for comedy, frequenting movies like Free Guy and the like. Like Washington, 2024 has also been a fairly significant year for Reynolds' career. Most notably, he reprised his role as Deadpool for Deadpool & Wolverine, the first of the Deadpool movies to be officially part of the MCU.

It's true that plenty of sci-fi movies are more plot-heavy than character-driven, but that doesn't mean that the best additions to the genre don't include complex and well-developed characters. However, in most movies, not just speculative fiction, there are sometimes scenes that fit in well with the plot but end up undermining the arc of an otherwise well-written character. Though this doesn't take away the other moments that exemplify the character's nuanced and complex emotions and motivation, it does give the viewer pause and make them wonder why these scenes are included.
Occasionally, these characters' moments give great sci-fi movies disappointing endings since what happens to the characters is typically the most emotionally compelling piece of a story. Many of these characters are portrayed by brilliant actors who balance the contradictions within their roles and make them work within the narrative. Whether these scenes are throwaway moments meant to be...

The Conjuring Universe is one of the major horror franchises of the modern era. Created and led by James Wan, it became a prime example of how modern (supernatural) horror movies should be made, with the fans loving the initial movies and the stories as they were told by Wan and the cast members.
While there was a significant decrease in quality following the second movie, the franchise still remained strong and loved by the fans, with Patrick Wilson’s and Vera Farmiga’s charisma helping the franchise in a major way. As fans will probably know, the franchise is getting ready for its final movie, The Conjuring: Last Rites, which is set for a September 2025 release.
In light of that, we can confirm that the principal work on the film is done, and in light of that, one of the film’s stars published an emotional farewell to the franchise,...

Have your tissues at the ready if you're a fan of The Conjuring universe! Lead actress Vera Farmiga took to her Instagram earlier today to post a heartwarming farewell tribute to her co-star, Patrick Wilson, in honor of the movie wrapping filming soon.
Based on the real demonologists of the same name, fans have lovingly embraced Farmiga and Wilson's portrayals of Lorraine and Ed Warren, who they have faithfully portrayed in The Conjuring Universe since it started in 2013. For more than a decade, we've fallen in love with the tender romance nurtured between the two actors on-screen in more than three films, and now we'll get to see the grand finale next year when The Conjuring: Last Rites releases in theaters.
In Farmiga's post, she noted that she and Wilson said "I do" to playing these characters in their initial Warner Bros. contract and have enjoyed their time together ever since.

Vera Farmiga has reflected on saying goodbye to her character while filming The Conjuring: Last Rites. Farmiga has played real-life paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren opposite Patrick Wilson as Lorraine's husband Ed for more than a decade, as they debuted their characters in the hit 2013 horror movie The Conjuring. The upcoming The Conjuring: Last Rites is set to be the final installment in the flagship franchise, which has also spawned spinoff franchises including Annabelle and The Nun.
On her official Instagram account, Vera Farmiga shared a photo of Ed and Lorraine's wedding photo from The Conjuring Universe. She revealed that Wilson wraps filming on The Conjuring: Last Rites on the day of the post, November 21, and wrote a caption paying heartfelt tribute to her longtime co-star, saying "I got them feels today." She reflected on roughly 5000 days of embodying the Warrens, ending the caption with "Heres to 12 years. I cherish you.

MonsterVerse is one of the most interesting cinematic universes out of all of them. The Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures-owned franchise has earned over $2.5 billion worldwide and also consists of TV shows on different streaming services but the way it all came together is a bit iffy because of the rights issues and the general laziness that we see in the some of the MonsterVerse films, but still Godzilla vs. Kong is still one of the most iconic movies for me. So, we thought of compiling every project that exists in the MonsterVerse and ranking them according to their Rotten Tomatoes score, here it is.

Vera Farmiga, the Oscar and Emmy-nominated actor most known in horror for her recurring performance as Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring franchise, also happens to be an avid metal fan. More than just a fan, the actor/musician is the lead vocalist for the new rock band The Yagas, and they’ve debuted their first single, “The Crying Room.”
Along with Farmiga, The Yagas is comprised of her husband, Deadsy member Renn Hawkey, drummer Jason Bowman, guitarist Mark Visconti, and bassist Mike Davis.
Watch the official music video for The Yagas’ brooding debut single below.
“‘The Crying Room’ is about release and relief. It’s about crying your heart clean. It’s a song that was filmed during and in the aftermath of an eclipse, and is about the eclipse of our soul. Eclipses have potent effects on our psychology. They are energetic portals that trigger epiphanies and outpouring of emotion.

Anna Kendrick took a trip down memory lane this week, singing the praises of her 2009 Up in the Air co-star, George Clooney.
“He is kind of capital G, George, and he works really hard to make you forget that and feel comfortable,” the Pitch Perfect star said of her experience acting alongside Clooney. Kendrick made the comments to CNN’s Chris Wallace, recalling her memories from shooting Up in the Air scenes with Clooney over a decade ago.
“The very, very first shot that he and I did together was my first shot in the movie,” Kendrick said. “We were standing on this people mover, and we’re kind of waiting and the camera is pretty far away and he said, ‘God, do you get nervous on the first day? Anna Kendrick praised her Up in the Air co-star George Clooney for the “complete fiction” he told her to calm her nerves ahead of filming the six-time Oscar-nominated dramedy film.
In a recent appearance on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?, the Woman of the Hour helmer and star admitted it was “absolutely terrifying” to act alongside the Ocean’s Eleven vet. While Kendrick had already been awarded a Tony nomination a decade prior to the filming of the 2009 Jason Reitman movie, she was in her early 20s starring alongside heavyhitters like Clooney and Vera Farmiga.

Bryan Cranston will forever be remembered for his career-defining role as Walter White on Breaking Bad, although hes continued to give fantastic performances across film and television in the years since. While Cranston was already a well-known sitcom actor before Breaking Bad, such as his acclaimed guest role on Seinfeld and a leading part in Malcolm in the Middle, it was his time as Heisenberg that solidified his now legendary status. As one of the most compelling actors working today, its no surprise Cranston has continued to excel in his post-Breaking Bad career.
Walter White was among the most complex characters in the Breaking Bad universe, and Cranston has brought the same level of depth and intensity to many of his subsequent performances. Whether it was franchise starters in big-budget monster movies or even returning to play his most famous role in Breaking Bad spin-offs, Cranston has kept viewers engaged with an astounding career.

There's something wrong with Esther ... again! In the biggest "hell yeah" news of the day, Variety is reporting that a third film in the "Orphan" franchise is on the way, and Isabelle Fuhrman will once again play Esther, everyone's favorite killer "kid." Fuhrman made her Esther debut in Jaume Collet-Serra's delightfully lurid 2009 horror-thriller "Orphan," about a couple (played by scream queen Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard) who adopt a 9-year-old girl from Russia. The child, Esther, seems polite and sweet ... at first. Eventually, the audience sees that Esther is a full-blown psycho, willing to kill anyone who gets in her way. But this was no mere "killer kid" horror movie, folks! In a whopper of a twist, it's revealed that Esther is actually Leena Klammer, a woman in her 30s who only appears to be a child due to hypopituitarism.

Jason Reitman’s “Saturday Night” has hit theaters nationwide, chronicling the chaotic 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of “Saturday Night Live” in 1975, releasing on the 49th anniversary of the long-running sketch comedy on October 11. With this movie expected to be a contender at the upcoming 2025 Academy Awards, let’s take a closer look at the filmmaker’s previous four Oscar nominations in three different categories for just two of his films.

Throughout the late 90s to 2005, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were Hollywood’s favorite couple. Although the duo starred in an episode of the NBC sitcom Friends, once, there was a time when both the stars were considered for the same Martin Scorsese film. Unfortunately, the dream of working together did not come true for the former lovebirds.

As part of The Conjuring Universe, The Nun includes true-story connections that make the movie more disturbing. Based on the experience of real-life demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren, The Conjuring Universe tells stories purported as real-life horrors with a supernatural connection. Actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have made the Warrens household names, but previous films have made tenuous connections between fact, fiction, and horror.
Questions about the movies inspirations become even stronger when considering the prequel, The Nun. The Conjuring: Last Rites will continue one of the most successful horror franchises in modern history, and there are plenty of teases around what's in store for Ed and Lorraine Warren next. The Conjuring series follows the adventures of Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga), a married pair of real-life paranormal experts and demonologists. The Conjuring films are extreme embellishments of their cases throughout the 1970s and 1980s, alongside spinoffs that throw plenty of fictionalized elements in too, and Last Rites is the final mainline chapter.
The Conjuring: Last Rites will be arriving after multiple spin-offs utilizing cases that aren't explored in the main Conjuring movies, such as the Annabelle franchise and movies like The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona. With 2023's The Nun II proving the franchise is just as chilling as ever, there's intense speculation...

The Conjuring film franchise is set to come to an end with the fourth installment, The Conjuring: Last Rites, which Warner Bros. has scheduled for a theatrical release on September 5, 2025 release. We had previously heard that this movie would be filming in the Atlanta, Georgia area, but apparently they’re doing some work across the pond as well, as we also heard that filming was scheduled to take place in London, England from September 10th through October 10th this year. Whatever the schedules and locations may be, The Conjuring: Last Rite is indeed currently in production – which producer James Wan has just proven by sharing an image from the set!
Showing the chairs meant for franchise stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, Wan wrote, “Always good to see and hang out with old friends. Gonna miss everyone. End of an era.“

The Conjuring: Last Rites has begun filming, confirms franchise veteran and creator James Wan. As the fourth movie in The Conjuring franchise, the movie will serve as the swan song for the main series. The Conjuring followed paranormal experts and demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga respectively) as they rid a familys house of an evil entity. The film was such a success that it led to two sequels and several spinoffs, most of them performing well with critics and grossing an impressive $2 billion at the global box office.
Co-producer Wan took to Instagram to share a photo from the set of The Conjuring: Last Rites. The photo itself is a picture of Wilson and Farmigas chairs, with their character names stitched onto the backs. In the caption, Wan says that its always good to hang out with old friends and that hes going to miss everyone,...

It's finally here! October, the best month of the year, especially if you're a horror movie fan. But of all the various types of horror movies, movies about ghosts are my personal favorite. I can't say that I believe in ghosts, but like Fox Mulder, I want to believe. Until some sort of ghostly evidence presents itself to me, I'll stick with the movies. So grab your candy corn, carve a pumpkin or two,...
