She trained at Dublin's Gaiety School of Acting and Shakespeare with Andrew Hinds.

Married to Brian Galvin and has 4 daughters. She had her eldest daughter Tèa now 21 years old with producer Dominic Wright. Moya is based in Dingle, Kerry, Ireland.

Moya has four daughters ages 7, 14, 17 and 21. Her daughter Kaylin has acted alongside Moya in Making It and both featured in the Irish band Walking On Cars music video 'Speeding Cars'shot on the Dingle peninsula which received 40 million YouTube hits. She is making her way back into the limelight after taking time to raise her family. Resides in the beautiful coastal town of Dingle, Kerry with her family.

Has filmed two shorts 'Damned Peace' and 'Peace Be with You', Music video 'Speeding Cars', TG4 TV Series 'The Running Mate' All filmed coincidentally on the peninsula of Dingle.

Worked as Guest Liaison Officer on the Dingle International Film Festival for 10 years. The town boasts the last and only family run cinema in the country. Moya offered all those who came from far and near more than just a film festival experience but showing them the best the town could offer being a local herself.
