- Brunette silent screen star, daughter of a minstrel. On stage aged eight with touring west coast stock companies. In films from 1910 with Selig, IMP and Universal. Best known for appearing in blackface as an African-American slave girl in the Harriet Beecher Stowe three reel epic "Uncle Tom's Cabin" (1913).
- She changed the spelling of her last name, from Fischer to Fisher, during World War I because of anti-German sentiments in the US.
- In 1981, niece & former child actress Kathie Fischer donated silent film memorabilia from the careers of Harry A. Pollard and Fischer to the Wichita State University Libraries Special Collections.
