Death to Metal tells us what we’re getting right from the start. In a black and white prologue, a trio of metalheads torments a little boy and graphicly pisses on his bible. This segues to a couple of rednecks dumping toxic waste into a creek and then to Father Kilborn (Andrew Jessop) railing against rock music in his sermon, something that gets him suspended from his duties by Father Brennan.

Elsewhere, Zane (Alex Stein) is having an equally bad day as he finds out he’s been replaced by both his band, Withered Christ, and his girlfriend. As he’s pouring his heart out to Mariah (Grace Melon), Father Kilborn is driving into the river, yes the one we saw at the film’s start.

Alvin Straight is not the twisted David Lynch character audiences expected… he’s a well-adjusted old Iowan with the same kinds of regrets that most people have. Taken from a true story, Alvin can’t drive and hasn’t much money, but he undertakes an eccentric Odyssey that in different circumstances might get him committed. And there’s the rub — his ‘impossible’ 5 mph trek across Iowa becomes a voyage of affirmation. Joining in on the Aloha state happenings, Shenae Grimes kept herself busy during the opening weekend of The Waikiki Edition in Honolulu, Hawaii on Friday (October 15).

Making to to keep working on her lovely figure, the "90210" hottie kicked off the day with a yoga class at Private Sunset Beach.

Proceeding on to cool down with a dip in the pool, Miss Grimes joined a gal pal for a splash in the water, sending out a Twittter pic as she wrote, "Failing at self pics in hawaii with @Lorlor24 for Edition Hotel opening! Woop! X"

To cap off the weekend-beginning festivities, Shenae made her way to an evening soiree to celebrate the Waikiki Edition opening - as she mingled with fellow guest Dan Flannery at the star-studded fete drawing the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Christina Aguilera and Kevin Dillon.
