Chaka Forman

Chaka Forman was raised in NYC and Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Brown
University with a degree in Theatre Arts. Discovered by agent Susan
Smith, his first job was on NYPD Blue. After participating in the
Sundance Film lab, he moved to Los Angeles and found success in film,
t.v., and stage. He has worked with notable writers and directors
including David Ayer, Gilbert Cates, David Milch, Lou Diamond Phillips,
and Frank E. Flowers.
The importance of progressive leadership and social justice was instilled in him from an early age. Forman's father is James Forman Sr., a pioneer in the American civil rights movement, and his grandmother is British author and muckraker, Jessica Mitford.
When not on the set, he teaches H.S. Drama and does Mind/Body work with teenagers. He is a proud father and can be found on the soccer pitch competing at a high level.
