Exclusive: Inbar Lavi and Jack Kesy have signed on to star in Vronika, a psychological thriller from writer/director Geert Heetebrij.
Heetebrij’s debut feature centers on strong-willed Roni (Lavi) and her ambitious husband Stephen (Kesy), a stay-at-home crypto-currency day trader who manifests a twin version of his wife named Vronika (also played by Lavi), to assist him in winning trades.
Vronika is being exec produced by Sid Jansma, Jr. and Kelly James Clark with Wolverine Films in cooperation with producers Eric Machiela, Zach Runge, and Ross Vande Waa of Grla. Pic is currently in production, filming in locations throughout West Michigan.
Lavi has appeared on the TV side in series including Lucifer, Stumptown, Imposters, Prison Break and The Last Ship. On the film side, she has appeared in Collin Friesen’s Sorry for Your Loss, Breck Eisner’s The Last Witch Hunter and more.

The Tribeca Film Festival has finalized its juries for the 2018 fest, two days before it kicks off its 17th edition. Names including Martha Coolidge, Norman Reedus, André Holland, Ray Liotta, Chris Messina, Zosia Mamet, Sasheer Zamata, Alyssa Reiner, Josh Charles, Haifaa Al Mansour and Lakeith Stanfield have been set to oversee the features, shorts, Storyscapes section and awards categories.
The fest launches Wednesday night with the world premiere of the Gilda Radner documentary Love, Gilda. Tribeca runs April 18-29 in New York City.

Friesen walks beat for New Line pic
Collin Friesen is suiting up for writing duties on Man in Uniform, a New Line Cinema comedy that has Kevin James attached to star. Bob Cooper is producing via his Landscape Entertainment. The story follows an everyman (James) whose life changes when he takes possession of a policeman's missing uniform. The script originally was written by Michael Galvin and Peter Speakman. Richard Brener and Cale Boyter are overseeing for the studio. Friesen wrote The Big White, a crime caper with Robin Williams, Holly Hunter and Woody Harrelson. He also is writing Money, Money, Money for Universal. Friesen is repped by Endeavor, Principato-Young and attorney Rob Szymanski.

Mylod dons 'White' for Landscape
NEW YORK -- British helmer Mark Mylod has been attached to direct the feature comedy The Big White for Landscape Pictures and Ascendant Pictures from a script by Collin Friesen. Landscape said Monday that the project is in active development, with Mylod involved in supervising the final script. Artisan Pictures is on board to distribute the film domestically, with Ascendant's Christopher Eberts and Chris Roberts producing with Empire Pictures' Michael Birnbaum. David Faigenblum is also shouldering producing duties. Set in Alaska, Big White follows a hapless travel agent whose wife suffers from psychosomatic Tourette's Syndrome. Convinced a warmer climate might cure her ailment, he hatches a scheme to cash in on a million-dollar life insurance policy by stealing a corpse and pretending it's his long-missing brother.
