"I demand a rematch!" Viva Kids has debuted an official trailer for Racetime, an animated adventure film from Canada. "A spectacular sled race through the village" is the pitch and pretty much the entire synopsis. Frankie-Four-Eyes and his team, including Sophie as the driver, take on the newcomers: the mysterious and conceited Zac and his athletic cousin Charly. This is a sequel to another animated film called Snowtime, first released in 2015. That one was about a snowball fight, this new one is about a sled race. And they both look awful, like made-for-tv morning cartoons junk. Which is totally fine if that's where this was playing, but it's coming to theaters? Maybe kids will enjoy. The voice cast includes Lucinda Davis, Noel Fisher, Angela Galuppo, Dawn Ford, and Todd Fennell. If you're curious about it anyway, check out the trailer below. Here's the official Us trailer (+ original poster) for Benoît Godbout's Racetime,...

Since premiering last summer, the animated picture April and the Extraordinary World has earned fine notices, being praised for both the beauty of its animation and unique stylings of its world. It was only a matter of time before this ’40s-era, Paris-set steampunk tale came to the U.S., and GKids are supporting its English-language overhaul with a release this Friday — just after a domestic trailer arrives.
There are no signs of its original French cast — which included Marion Cotillard, Olivier Gourmet, and Jean Rochefort — but what we get isn’t so bad: J.K. Simmons, Tony Hale, Susan Sarandon, and Paul Giamatti have stepped in, while Angela Galuppo takes the lead role. This preview will give some sense of its narrative and visual approach, two components that reviewers noted as being in harmony with one another.

You know a show’s good when it’s difficult to concentrate about the details from older episodes because you’re still trying to figure out how the latest changes everything. That’s where I’m at each week reviewing Being Human; it’s that good.
“I See Your True Colors and That’s Why I Hate You” has Josh (Sam Hunitington) taking Emily (Allison Louder) back home to be safe away from Marcus (Vinccent LeClerc) and other vampires, per Aidan’s (Sam Witwer) orders. Emily’s attack was a direct message towards Josh and Aidan was not going to have it. In the meantime, Sally (Meaghan Rath) tries to get at Danny (Gianpaolo Venuta) and warn Bridgit (Angela Galuppo) that she’s dating a murderer.
“There’s a reason monster’s hide under the bed. We’re more scared of you than you are of us. That look on your face,...

What truly occurred as compared to what one thinks happened doesn’t always match up. In last night’s episode of Being Human viewers learned plenty about Sally (Meaghan Rath and Josh (Sam Huntington), who both find out the truth about what or who made them a ghost and a werewolf. Meanwhile Aidan (Sam Witwer) staves off another plan by Bishop (Mark Pellegrino) to meddle in his attempt at normalcy. It was easily the best all-around episode of the season so far.
Sally
Danny (Gianpaolo Venuta) quickly went from the grieving widower to the biggest scumbag on the planet. The fact he hasn’t visited her grave but has pictures of Bridget (Angela Galuppo) all over his apartment were clues that he never truly loved Sally. Which is why it’s become quickly apparent what Sally must do and that’s to reach out to Bridget and warn her of the monster she’s dating.

I'm just as sick of the current Vampire craze as anyone. Seems like every magazine cover features the bloodsuckers of Twilight, The Vampire Diaries and True Blood. Though the latter is a show that actually works for me because it features good ole sex and violence, fully realized characters and intriguing stories that often take bizarre turns. Did I mention it features good ole sex and violence? Another decent show is the supernatural comedy-drama Being Human, a BBC import with a unique premise involving the supernaturally cursed trying to lead normal lives while sharing a house together. Nothing's changed much for the American reboot except the setting has been shifted to Boston. Sam Witwer, known for his work in Stephen King's The Mist and as Ems worker David Bloome, aka the monstrous Doomsday on TV's Smallville stars as Aidan, a Vampire who has been coping with his condition for over...
