She completed her Master of Fine Arts degree at the prestigious Old Globe Theatre's Professional Actors Program, University of San Diego. Chosen as one of seven students nationwide and awarded a full academic scholarship, Garrett's talent also graced the Broadway stage where she originated a principal role. Originally from Seattle, Washington, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Washington State University, where she excelled as a scholar-athlete. She's a member of the Writers Guild of America East.
